First day attire: I'm wearing a suit, but, but, but I'm wearing brown shoes with my navy suit, dress it down a little! Pretty genius huh?

Yeah I was pretty surprised, too!

It was really informal. Right before the HR director took us to orientation, she stopped by her office, picked em up and just handed it to us like it was no big deal hahaha...the other SAs and I were like, really? hahaha.

Loving my office so far. But I get real assignments tomorrow. Let the anxiety commence.

I think having real work is much better than the anxiety of trying to figure out when it's proper to leave the office when they gave you no guideline and you have nothing else to do.

Really don't be nervous about day one. You don't do any work and just get a bunch of BS training. It's no big deal. Easiest first day of any job ive ever had.

I showed up without a suit. No biggie.

Got a shit ton of candy the first day with firm swag and an ultra-modern office with an awesome view of the city (clearly not NYC).

week 2 lookin' good. my first line supervisor was out the first week so i'm working with him now. he's teaching me the exact same things i learned the first week, so i get to look like i'm picking shit up instantly.

so far everyone's awesome. got a patent allowed on my first assignment. hire me plz.

We had a session on "how to 'compose' an email."

Of course, they have to cover all bases. But, there were times I thought "if we can't figure this out on our own, you should fire us."

Completely serious. In NYC so it is a pretty big deal (fear of terrorism).
