First day attire: I'm wearing a suit, but, but, but I'm wearing brown shoes with my navy suit, dress it down a little! Pretty genius huh?
Oh my god just give me an offer.

Ooo....that'd be nice. You're making me hopeful for my first day--though I think it's unlikely that we'll get anything as nice as that.
How was it packaged/delivered? Like was it a big deal or did they just put it out on your desk with a welcome note?

How long before you guys started did you hear details about your programs? I'm a week out from starting and have only heard start date and filled out random forms. Curious what the program is going to be like!

It was really informal. Right before the HR director took us to orientation, she stopped by her office, picked em up and just handed it to us like it was no big deal hahaha...the other SAs and I were like, really? hahaha.
Loving my office so far. But I get real assignments tomorrow. Let the anxiety commence.

I think having real work is much better than the anxiety of trying to figure out when it's proper to leave the office when they gave you no guideline and you have nothing else to do.GAIAtheCHEERLEADER wrote:

Really don't be nervous about day one. You don't do any work and just get a bunch of BS training. It's no big deal. Easiest first day of any job ive ever had.Stonewall wrote:Forms sent in, already recieved my blackberry with staff/associate numbers pre-programmed (thanks?), I start Monday... Nervous.

I showed up without a suit. No biggie.
Got a shit ton of candy the first day with firm swag and an ultra-modern office with an awesome view of the city (clearly not NYC).

This thread has made me more nervous. I start on May 29. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm still anxious. Please give me an offer so that I can enjoy 3L with the knowledge that law school was not a disastrous choice.

The hardest part is staying awake during the 9 hours of "computer training."
We had a session on "how to 'compose' an email."
Of course, they have to cover all bases. But, there were times I thought "if we can't figure this out on our own, you should fire us."

Completely serious. In NYC so it is a pretty big deal (fear of terrorism).
