Re: 2012 Class Sizes, School Distributions, other useful data
S&C: 20 Harvard, 14 Yale, 13 Columbia, 8 NYU
Cleary: 26 Harvard, 20 Columbia, 17 NYU
Both numbers are via friends so I can't 100% confirm this data nor provide additional info on other schools. Hopefully someone who is summering at these firms will come along and fill out the rest.

Re: 2012 Class Sizes, School Distributions, other useful data
most of the data so far is really V10 (and to a much lesser extent) V50 centric. I'm sure if the entire NLJ250 were shown, in secondary markets especially, the tippity top of T2s would be more prevalent.thexfactor wrote:I'm shocked at the lack of T2 schools. I thought people who were top 5% at T2s had a good chance for biglaw ny or other v100.

I imagine there are a good amount of us at satellite offices that have only 5-10 SA's that don't feel comfortable possibly outing themselves about the numbers. Maybe I'm just paranoid though.

Does this take into account Kirkland-Chicago's numbers?shadow. wrote:People have posted information on 17 firms thus far in this thread. The following data summarize this information, starting with STB and ending with Frost Todd Brown.
I'll update these summaries as more information comes into this thread.

No. No Kirkland numbers have been posted in this thread. The chart only covers what has been posted in this thread up to Frost Todd Brown.Anonymous User wrote:Does this take into account Kirkland-Chicago's numbers?shadow. wrote:People have posted information on 17 firms thus far in this thread. Maybe it is. That's what K&E sent out though. Kind of weird for them to be sending out incomplete information.f0bolous wrote: isn't that list incomplete? i think the op even said so.

I think you're still missing large numbers in that list. A quick count gets me to over 100 SAs from HLS.

Re: 2012 Class Sizes, School Distributions, other useful data
Kirkland NY has always had significantly lower standards than big daddy in Chicago. I don't think this is anything out of the ordinary for them. It's kind of funny to think that it's technically a V10. Yet another reason why the Vault rankings lose a lot of significance when dealing with satellite offices.Julio_El_Chavo wrote:Pretty freakin TTT.Anonymous User wrote:Kirkland NY

Re: 2012 Class Sizes, School Distributions, other useful data
I'm guessing because of the pretty mediocre representation from HYSCCN. Maybe the fact that only 55 percent of their summers come from the T13 (in comparison, a lot of the top NYC firms that have been posted in this thread are usually in the 80–90 percent range in that regard).ahnhub wrote:why is it TTT?

Hahaha--well if you count GULC 75% came from T-14. GULC-trolling, delivered as cool as the other side of the pillow.Helmholtz wrote:I'm guessing because of the pretty mediocre representation from HYSCCN. Re: 2012 Class Sizes, School Distributions, other useful data
Well, if we count GULC, then most elite NYC firms in this thread have closer to 90 percent. It doesn't really matter though. Maybe Kirkland places more emphasis on grades than prestige of school. Maybe Kirkland was doing a favor to the legal community by taking in a few of the 650 C/O 2013 GULC students. I don't know. It doesn't really matter one way or the other. I was more just using the term "T13" to clearly denote that I was not including either of the schools tied at 14th.ahnhub wrote:Hahaha--well if you count GULC 75% came from T-14. Re: 2012 Class Sizes, School Distributions, other useful data
Potentially stupid question from a 1L: Why are all of the reports ITT only for NY offices? Do the other offices keep their associate classes a closely guarded secret, or do you all only care about NYC?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
