It seems like it should be such a marginal consideration...

If you're picking on the basis of whether you get an acceptance or christmas gift then you need to reevaluate your selection criteria.Anonymous User wrote:really? thats annoying- any firm which have history of not giving any gift

I don't know man. I chose my firm based on that criterion, and I think I made the right choice.NinerFan wrote:If you're picking on the basis of whether you get an acceptance or christmas gift then you need to reevaluate your selection criteria.Anonymous User wrote:really? thats annoying- any firm which have history of not giving any gift

maybe it's just jealousy but I have serious doubts about this. I mean, think about it. Are they really going to guess the sizes of their whole SA class ? Maybe they hire based on how neatly you approximate a men's M.AssumptionRequired wrote:Why do they have to always be one step up? even on this? come on! lolAnonymous User wrote:Wachtell gave me a cashmere Brooks Brothers sweater with a note that says "Happy Holidays! They could ask for sizes. My roommate's firm asked them for some info for a holiday gift.neimanmarxist wrote:maybe it's just jealousy but I have serious doubts about this. I mean, think about it. It does seem like weird PR for places not to do something when their peer firms are sending out gifts, cards, etc. Haven't heard hardly a peep from my V20.

Don't be so quick to delete it, mine came with a code for a $25 gift card of my choice. It was at the bottom, almost didn't notice it. V20

I just sat through 30 seconds of random animations from my holiday ecard, again, just to make sure I didn't miss something code/gift-card-y at the end.Anonymous User wrote:shmoo597 wrote:LOL.Anonymous User wrote:Holiday ecard from V25 firm

Smaller office of V50 sent a personalized card. No gift card in it or anything though.

Re: Acceptance Gift?
Lol, def doesn't have any gift card attached, and is really just a firm promo. I don't think it actually mentioned anything about the holidays, or their desire that they be happy.Anonymous User wrote:shmoo597 wrote:LOL.Anonymous User wrote:Holiday ecard from V25 firm

Re: Acceptance Gift?
I wasn't really bothered by this until I got a holiday card from PETA in the mail the other day. I have never even donated anything to PETA. I think I bought someone else a gift from them once like four years ago. PETA is sending me holiday cards but not my firm.
