I mentioned that timetable earlier, and it came from the legal recruiter on my cb (specifically "mid-to-late Sept" for when they will be extending offers, which hasn't yet expired). Being a relatively small office, they may want to consider all candidates before offering anyone.

heard that Howrey sent at least one "email of continued interest." It said, in effect, that they are still reviewing all the applications and will inform people at the end of the month

friend had a Sidley callback early this week and was dinged by mail 2 days later. I think it's just hard to say, and the impression I'm getting is that this process isn't terribly scientific.

Ah. If you don't mind me asking, what date was the letter postmarked/sent on?

Also (feel free to only answer what you're comfortable with)... what level of school are you from / which interviewers (by initials) did you have?

They're my top choice and I'm waiting on them, so I'm curious...

Actually it was sent to my house, so I haven't seen it, but I know it got there on Friday. CB was two weeks +1 day earlier (on a Thursday). School is MVPB, though I don't want to get into who I interviewed w/.

One more Q.... did you have any contact with the firm after your callbacks, or was the rejection the first you'd heard?

Reject was the first I'd heard. FWIW, I had another offer I was likely going to choose over them, so I wasn't especially proactive about things.

Any news from those who did DC callbacks during flyout week? I know of someone with a Steptoe offer but otherwise radio silence...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
