Hey how are the below median ppl doing? Any hope?

Below median here - three callbacks so far. Generally speaking, I would say that the 48-hour rule does not apply to many of the firms that historically extend offers to median/sub-median students.

Were your NYC CBs also outside of the 48 hour rule? Major congrats, btw.

I'm not sub-median, but I do have interviewed with tons of NY firms that historically hired within the 3.2-3.3 range. If OCS is still remotely helpful, they have told me things like "Wait for 3-5 days. If nothing happens for a week, don't bother."

I guess we'll have a better idea on where we all stand by tomorrow or Tuesday, then...

Just an FYI: At my school which did OCI before Michigan, Monday and Tuesday were always the slowest CB days. Some definitely happened (some even on Sunday...) but it would be fairly common for somebody to have interviews weds-Fri, get some callbacks those days from prior interviews, then hear nothing until the next weds-fri time period. So don't expect much Monday/Tuesday is my point. Of the CBs I received over the span of 2.5 weeks, I think fewer than 10% came on a Monday or a Tuesday.

Anon from above: It was pretty across the board. There were definitely exceptions, but my impression was that Monday and Tuesday were slower for most people, if not totally silent.

Thank you for the response. It comforts, even if my hopes are false. Are any of them V50, out of curiosity? Those range firms were the only ones that came to our OCI.

Thanks, and no. FWIW, I interviewed with Mayer Brown (NYC) on Thursday, and they indicated that it would take a week or so to get back to anyone. So, if you are waiting on Mayer NYC, you can still keep your hopes alive.

Mayer NYC only had 2 avaiable slots at our OCI. I didn't get to interview with them as the result.

One of my interviewers made it clear that he wouldn't get back to anyone until Monday at the earliest so that's at least one firm I'm not yet freaking out about (assuming he didn't lie, of course, but I doubt he did).

Bump. This is pertinent to my interests. I haven't been able to find this information anywhere.

My guess is no. Students don't typically report all this info to career services. I'm fairly sure the firms don't give a report of all this to career services either.

I don't think anyone can give you an accurate assessment, because people with a lot of callbacks/offers don't talk about it, and people with no callbacks/offers don't either. Many people don't ask other people how they are doing, in case they didn't get any callbacks. Career services emails a survey much later in the year to see what 2Ls are doing though, so that may be your best bet.
