Can anyone tell me some of the differences between Hiscock & Barclary and Hancock Estabrook? Culture? Work/life balance? Pay? Work quality/reputation? Thanks!

From my interviews Hancock Estabrook seemed to be a much more laid back environment than the other firms I interviewed with. According to NALP, they are on the lower end of pay for the larger firms, but I don't know how accurate that is. Have offers gone out yet anywhere in Upstate?

I think the answer to that really depends on what you are looking for? Do you have offers from both and are just trying to decide now? Have you considered calling up a young associate that is an alum and asking some of these questions you were afraid to ask in the interview?

I just accepted a Harter Secrest offer, I'm pretty excited to work there this summer. Also NALP is usually pretty spot on for pay.
