I don't really feel there was anything wrong with the request. But it just upsets me if I, as a white male, were to make a similar request, I would be viewed extremely negatively. I didn't mean for you to take down the thread, OP, and I think we are all just making jokes off how you could stupidly choose to take the request as some sort of racism or whatever if you wanted.

that sort of thing comes up a lot. Most law schools have a "Black Law Students Association" or "Latino Law Students Association" etc etc. Just try coming up with a "White Law Students Association".

There are things like Irish-American Law Student Association or the Justinian Law Society(Italian) so there are those clubs.
