I'm glad we're all together!JoshHK wrote:Section 12, baby! OS, looks like we'll be spending some time together.![]()
Oh, and I get that same (lack of) registration message as well.
On another note... I'm going through the whole FinAid process right now (late, I know... I procrastinate that which gives me stress). It looks like Discover isn't a lender on HESC... so do I just fill out applications/eMPN on the Discover site and completely ignore HESC?
Also... just to confirm my process with all you brilliant TLSers... I did my FAFSA already, way back in April. I'm doing my eMPN/application thru Discover for both Stafford Loans and GradPlus... and I need to fill out the first and last pages of the Fordham FinAid app, right? Anything else I'm neglecting?
Thanks, guys.

How do you feel about practicing on East Coast vs. West Coast?heather87 wrote:so I just got off of of the UCLA waitlist----I need to make a final decision in the next 24 hours. AH don't know what to do

How do you feel about practicing in New York City versus a more national reach? If you're interested in New York, I would absolutely pick Fordham, but for the rest of the country, I'd have to lean towards UCLA.silenziatori wrote:How do you feel about practicing on East Coast vs. West Coast?heather87 wrote:so I just got off of of the UCLA waitlist----I need to make a final decision in the next 24 hours. Congrats, first of all. I'm on the waitlist for UCLA still. Have you seen both schools? At this point I would say go to whichever feels more at home to you, and try to ignore thoughts about the hassle of moving on short notice and all that. UCLA is higher ranked, but not so much higher ranked I don't think that it's going to drastically affect your life or employment prospects. I could be wrong though.heather87 wrote:so I just got off of of the UCLA waitlist----I need to make a final decision in the next 24 hours. AH don't know what to do

It's lurking somewhere in the fine print of the financial aid handbook. You can complete it at: http://mappingyourfurture.org. I believe its standard federal loan procedure to complete the interview. Easy to complete, doesn't take long, and you just have to print out the confirmation page. That "this is how much you need to make to pay off your debt" calculator is a whole lotta reality though.ascremer wrote:when and how??
I didnt get anything about this
Someone in section 5 who got their eggs in order in time, would you please post our schedule?

Heather, I don't envy the decision you have to make. If I were in your spot I would think of why I decided to go to Fordham before UCLA dropped this line. If those reasons aren't as compelling as the ones for attending UCLA, well that might be a sign to head West.

Thanks! I definitely want to practice in NY, since I'm from here. Unfortunately, I never visited UCLA since I didn't think I would be admitted haha. When I was applying, I really wanted to be in California. But since I've gotten so used to the idea of being in NY, I don't know. I wish someone could make the decision for me haha.CrazyLawStudent wrote:Congrats, first of all. I'm on the waitlist for UCLA still. Have you seen both schools? Trust me, I know exactly what you mean. I would be in the exact same place were I in your shoes right now. But it feels good just to have a choice, doesn't it? lol. But in the end I think you just have to go with your gut and I have a feeling a week afterwards you will feel great about it.heather87 wrote:Thanks! haha yeah it feels good. I only hope, though, that I don't get pulled off of like the upenn or nyu waitlist after I've committed to UCLA (if I do).

I think we're just going to have to wait for our class schedules. Seems like they may have only provided the schedule for Section 1 so far, since no one else has access to theirs. The admitted student website promises we'll have our schedules in early August.

I am in section 6. Dumb question, but is this FT or PT? I got accepted PT but my registration says I'm in the FT program. Help? Also, listed as not registered for classes.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
