I saw it... it's so imaginative! I'd totally see it again if cheap/rush tickets could be found. I guess I'm limited to doing things Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights now, though.
To Josh: Our orientation starts the 10th. Is your roommate a TLSer? Mine is too!

Yay! Baklava? *dies of happiness* We'll hopefully have a couch by then, and chairs. I can't wait to actually hang out!

I was just thinking... we need a Fordham karaoke night. I'd be down for organizing it, if anyone would come. I've been messing around with the karaoke tracks on youtube and my Mac's internal microphone, and I recorded this:
http://www.mediafire.com/?zmggew4qxhz
The recording quality is horrifically bad, but it was a lot of fun to make. It's me singing "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables. I told Kohinoor I was as good as Susan Boyle, and he didn't believe me, soooo....
Is anyone up for karaoke?

Question: When you guys apply for GradPLUS loans through HESC, do you put the loan amount for the whole academic year. I want to borrow less my first semester and use my savings so that I don't accrue that extra interest. Can we borrow on a semesterly basis? Anyone know the answer to this question? I will probably have the answer by this afternoon, since I plan on calling Financial Aid to find out.
Thanks.

I'm 95% sure you go for the whole year. Not sure how you would be able to work out borrowing less in one semester though, as I'm pretty sure the disbursements are made in equal amounts during each semester (unless of course you're able to arrange for receiving less money in one of the semesters). Definitely a good question to ask Financial Aid.

I called and basically they said you can request a "fall only" grad plus loan, and then durign the fall apply for the spring semester loan. That process would accomplish my goal, but I dont think I am going to do because I do not want to deal with that hassle during school. It really won't make that much of a difference.

Hi everyone. I'm going to Fordham in the fall--been accepted a while, but never really bothered looking for a forum. I've looked back through the pages and found some really helpful stuff, so thanks!
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows if Orientation is everyday for that week of August 17, or do certain sections come in on certain days?
Also, you guys are way too excited! Where is the soul crushing fear of what awaits in law school?!

Maybe. I had ended my karaoke career on a high note. My two friends and I got a standing ovation for "Like A Prayer" in this Austrian bar, complete with sing-a-long. It was kinda glorious.
And I'm nearly moved in! About half-way through.

That sounds completely awesome! I'm honestly just discovering it, and I'm completely addicted. Madonna is FTW, and should definitely be on any song list.

I got the book too
. The questionnaire that we are supposed to fill out and return was in the package too. I am kind of confused as to why they asked us a few of the questions that they did, but whatever.
