I will be if they take me. Your profile said you got 60k from them, that is pretty darn sweet. Congrats.

I'm on the fence. I have two more decisions I'm waiting on and two more scholarships. But right now, Dean Pless, my friend (current Illinois 1L) and my scholarship are putting a lot of pressure on me toward U of I.

I'm still on the fence, but I might be joining you at UIUC... Congrats on making your decision!

I have a feeling that if I can find a way to make UIUC work financially...I'll be there next fall.

+1 on the financial side of things. Add to that a wife and a 1 year old and debt has taken on a whole new role in my decision. I'm still waiting on the official acceptance/scholarship offer so.....Come on UIUC, show me the money!!

+1 million for the impact wife/child has on risk aversion. Still on the fence about Illinois but hopefully I'll have my mind made up by the end of the April ASW.

Still waiting to hear back from a whole bunch of schools, but as of now Illinois is my top choice (and most likely will remain that way!) as the only schools that could *possibly* sway me are Berkeley, Northwestern, U. Chicago and UCLA. Anyways! Pretty exciting all around. Congrats to all those who have gotten in and good luck to those still waiting!

It's been something of a dream of mine to go to Illinois for law school, I'm hoping for the best.

It was one of the first schools to accept me, and they're giving me some good money. I'm still waiting on several other schools, but there's a good chance I'll be joining some of y'all in Champaign.

I go to Illinois for undergrad, and am going to stay here law, which I'm quite excited about.
Anyone attend the admit day this past friday? I'll be at the one in April, though I have a pretty good idea of what to expect (heh). Can't pass up a chance to drink with Pless.

I have always had a lot of respect for Illinois (my father, who was a math professor got his Master's at UIUC), but my respect has only grown with how cool Dean Pless is. I would definitely not pass up an opportunity to go drinking with Paul, it will likely solidify your decision to attend. Best of luck to all, it should be a great 3 years.

Just got in via email yesterday. One of my top choices. I'm wondering when people found out about financial aid--does the letter come in the initial acceptance package via mail, or later?

They tell you about your scholarship offers in the letter that you should be getting next week.

After my visit today, I'd say there's a very, very good chance I can add my name to this list...I'll make a decision over the next couple of weeks

I saw the 2010 recruiting class and Illinois has 2 five-stars and a four-star commit already. Let's hope they don't pull an Eric Gordon and Benedict Arnold our asses.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
