I have made the final decision! Sending in my deposit tomorrow for NYU-- and still ambigious about the housing situation. It would be convenient to live in campus housing, but expensive as well. So I thought I would write a "roomate wanted" post to see if anybody was interested in finding an apartment in the neighborhood with one or two roommates. Here are some qualities that my friends currently in the room use to describe me:

1. I am a 22 year old male-- (only looking for fellow male roomates, sorry ladies I already have a girlfriend)
2. I am Catholic (shouldn't affect roommate selection, unless you have an issue with a picture of the pope being in my bedroom)
3. I have had past roommates that have taught me a good deal of patience, but still don't share toothbrushes with anybody
4. I enjoy cooking but not cleaning the dishes
5. Don't party too much, but don't study too much either (perhaps both of these will change during 1L)

I'm in too! Sent in my deposit yesterday. So what's the consensus on dorms v. apartment? The dorms are crap for the price but not excited about apartment hunting either (from out of state).

Yay I finally got my NYU ID!!! I had tried going to that start page a few times and it said my SSN wasn't found, but today it worked! (sent my deposit 4/14, so about 10 business days like they said)

How did you get your NYU ID? I got my net ID and set up my email account, but apparently you need another ID (i.e.Nxxxxxxxxx) for the housing application and whatnot. Is that accessible from NYU home? im confused
