Yea, when can we expect to hear about fin aid stuff? I think I remember reading somewhere or hearing the end of March, but I could totally be wrong. I have no evidence.

Ya, you are right. On the admitted students site where you link to the fin. aid form it says that preliminary reports will be available March 30, and final reports by April 30.

Off topic, but I was at starbucks a minute ago drinking some coffee and reading at the bar, and this dude sat down next to me and asked me what I was reading and what I was doing, I was reading Law's Empire. He started to tell me that if he wasn't himself in another life, he would do entertainment law instead. I was like what are you, a musician? He made some joke about my ignorant comment and kept telling me how great it would be to do entertainment law.
I told the guy it sounded great in theory, but getting those jobs is impossible w/o some extraordinary networking, I told him I would have to know somebody. He made some jokes about "well maybe you do." Some dude came up to him asking him about all these gunsnroses tickets and some problem with motley crew or something, he told the guy he'd get him all the tickets he needed. He gave me his email and told me to email him if I was serious about wanting be an attorney and was interested in entertainment law. He left and I told him I'd be sure to email him. Then, this dude comes rushing up to me like "do you know who that was? do you know who you were talking too? do you watch brock of love?" It wasn't brett michaels, but a diff member of Poison. I'm sure it won't come to anything, but the dude knows the lawyer that heads the starbucks music shit and I don't remember, some other entertainment lawyers. He kept saying he got a good vibe from me and all this. Pretty crazy eh?

Sounds like you've been cast for the next Rock of Love where Brett picks a lawyer soulmate.

Hey future 1Ls. I'm a current 1L and wanted to post a shameless plug about housing. My wife and I live in Barracks West Apartments and they are offering $500 for new renter referrals, which I would be more than happy to split with people moving in.

You can get more info on the community at their website. I know they are running some pretty good discount rates not posted on the website so its worth giving them a ring if your interested. My wife and I like it here and would recommend it if you have a car.

1. I'm looking to end the lease on the place I've got now early, before I leave for the summer. If anyone is interested in being in C-Ville in the summer, or moving your furniture in early, this would be a great place. I'm at the Graduate Centre, which has suite-style living - you have your own room & bathroom, but share a kitchen. Also, I'm on the 3rd floor, which means that I have additional space in the form of a loft. See what I'm talking about here. (LinkRemoved) No loft pictures there, but you can come see the apartment on admitted students' weekend if you're around. It's just down the street from the law school and right across the street from the grocery store.

2. I'm looking for a female roommate for a 2 bd+den at the Jeffersonian next yr, which is also about a 3 min walk from the law school. I'm neat, pretty quiet, and a non-drinker. The lease starts in May (hence why I am trying to get rid of my other apartment) and rent is $405 a month + utilities. I'll be around Friday afternoon for anyone coming to the admitted students day and I'll be there all weekend for the 2nd weekend. PM me if you're interested!

Solution: no TLSers should overdress (wear anything other than nice jeans) and we can all find each other! Screw those people who make me wear heels - as a female it is really difficult to be business casual and not wear shoes that are uncomfortable. Grrrr.

"business casual" is a bit ambiguous. I went to a "business casual" interview once to find everyone else in suits.

I don't think there is any need to think about what you'll wear to these events any time before the morning of. No one will care what you're wearing, and no one will notice unless you're dressed like you're going to the Oscars or like a homeless person. Just wear what you would wear on any other day. There will be people wearing suits and such, but then again, there are students that wear shirts and ties to class every day. You don't want to be one of those people.

Given the weather, I'd expect most students will be in jeans and a collared shirt (polo or casual button down). Feel free to look like us.

Also, thought I'd pass along that Bar Review is at a bar called Boylan Heights on The Corner (Or University Ave.). Should be a good showing of law students there for those of you without hosts/law school buddies.

But seriously, don't dress like a schmo. You already got in, scholarships are already decided whether you've heard or not ( as in it's based on certain things that won't change because of how you're dressed), and the day is really for you to see the school if you're undecided/meet some potential future classmates if you are. Relax, prepare to be alternatively bored (Concentrations info sessions/ Fin aid info) and intrigued (Mock class/student life panel), and just enjoy the day.

Just curious, there are 270 attending this Friday.
