Speaking of money in the bank, it looks like my loans have gone through (as in, SIS has the loans credited and says I owe UVA no money).

SIS shows the same thing for me. Hopefully checks will be mailed soon.

Also, I got my locker key today. For those of you who dropped off a locker request Monday, check your mailbox (back by Scott Commons) for your locker key. It's in a small brown envelope stapled to a larger yellow request copy.

Also, has anyone GradPlus loans not been credited yet? Mine was approved by Discover (about 3 weeks ago), it's accepted and "pending" on SIS, but it doesn't appear to have been received by the school yet.

In response to Barzun's doggie sex comment, I have to say I think he's mistaken. This is going to sound very strange actually. I lived in Brazil for a while and occasionally spent time in slums. One time, I decided to buy a huge sack of beans and rice for a really poor family I met. While going to their place, I saw two dogs mating. I of course giggled to myself, but my friends there saw stray dogs engage in such behavior on a daily basis. I was shocked when, after all was said and done, that the male dog was literally stuck inside the female. It turned around completely so they were butt to butt, and the male, still stuck mind you, started to walk off-- dragging the female with it.

No one else was laughing, but I'd never seen anything like this or heard of it. I could not help but laugh. After a few minutes, the male was able to free itself and all seemed well.

Before this all happened, however, the male was in fact mounting the female from behind. Perhaps Barzun has a more technical definition of "doggie style" though.

Not sure if anyone is still reading this, but I have an SIS question. Under "Academics" in my Student Center page it says I'm not enrolled in classes and don't have access to enrollment. Does everyone have this right now or is something wrong with my page specifically? Thanks.

My Student Center says I'm not enrolled in any classes as well.

I had this discussion with a classmate who was especially concerned, and three other classmates and I all confirmed for him that we're not showing enrolled in any courses either. I have yet to hear from someone who is showing enrolled right now.

Also, I have no intention of abandoning TLS! Maybe there'll be fewer people reading now that classes are on, but I'll keep reading and responding to folks here (and probably helping out 0L's gladiator-style next spring/summer).

BTW - Lawweb shows the classes you are enrolled in under my courses.... it also shows your classes for the spring (ie, which property and con law)
