Hey all, just wanted to shoot out a reminder to go to http://www.law.yale.edu/admitrsvp and register for the ASW by April 3. I totally forgot about this until it was mentioned in the (fairly quiet) ASW thread.

Are you guys planning to show up to ALL of the programs? I just can't wait to dine at Koh's house.

I am. Although somehow I assumed this would be moved to Stith's place now that he's on his way to promulgating sharia law in US courts...

Has anyone else received their Stanford award yet? How much was it better than Yale's by? Mine was about 8k higher for Stanford. I'm guessing I should give FinAid a call tomorrow?

Not to belabor the point if people don't know. But what exactly is the next step for FinAid? Wait for the promised emails? Or should I be sending something in?

Stanford offered me $10,000+ more than Yale. It's just how each school's formula works out to be. I don't think they'll do much, since most Yale admits get into Stanford. I'm set on Yale. woo hoo!!!

Hey anyone know where we can buy law apparel? I asked one of the current students and he said something about that you can only purchase them from the Alumni Association during special occasions?

I was up in New Haven today and bought a YLS t-shirt from the campus apparel store that's next to the Yale Bookstore.

Haha, that's funny. When I visited last month I really wanted to buy a Hoodie and could not find one anywhere. That explains it. They're really nice - heather gray with the YLS crest - very subtle.

I might just get a regular Yale hoodie instead.

I just finished reading the YLS binder. I wish that I had something more important to say, but, in addition to the obvious, I'm really excited for the ASP so that I can try the mashed potato pizza at Bar!

I just finished reading the YLS binder. I wish that I had something more important to say, but, in addition to the obvious, I'm really excited for the ASP so that I can try the mashed potato pizza at Bar!

The pizzas from Bar appear to be very popular from everything I've read, but personally I can't get enthused about a pizza topping that I don't even enjoy on its own (mashed potatoes? really?).

However, I am excited about the prospect of New Haven style pizza (or "apizza" as Wikipedia describes it). I just hope they have shakers full of garlic powder, oregano, pepper flakes, and cheese like in NY pizza joints. When I moved out west (Arizona) I was horrified by the lack of garlic powder. One place in Tucson (named, appropriately enough, "Brooklyn") obliged, but that was about it.

Coming back from Mexico I am going to have to break my pizza de chorizo, poblano, elote, pico de gallo, y salsa de habanera habit. I suppose a dousing of Frank's will be a passable substitute.

I'll be there for sure. I'll probably be driving down from boston on the 22nd.


I sent in my Needaccess and FAFSA at the beginning of march. Is there anything else I need to do? Has anyone been admitted after sending in forms?

Yes -- I did the same thing. You don't need to do anything else. I received my financial aid package just a few days after being admitted.

Cardinal, did you get the binder in the mail already or did you look online?

I got it in the mail. I don't know where you live but I'm on the east coast just a few states away from Yale.
