Ding from Stanford. Definitely a Boaltie 2012 now!!

Maybe it's rationalization, but I'm actually relieved I don't have to choose!

they emailed you on a Saturday? I feel like I should call them and ask if they've lost my app. I haven't heard from them since going complete in December.

Formerbruin, Thanks a lot

And 2 more questions :-)

--> Crim Law does not list the number of days.
Is it fair to assume it meets for 4 days ?

--> Do we have any other "Legal Research + Writing" type class in the first semester OR is this it ?

It was a snail mail letter dated Apr 9. I was complete in Nov, so don't stress over not hearing anything. No news>letter.

I. Crim law will be three days a week. The rule is about 50 minutes in class per week for every credit-hour. Three days would be 210 minutes, for four units.

II. Everyone will have a legal research class in addition to the above listed classes.

Hello everyone. First all a big congratulations for getting into Berkeley Law! Excellent job guys!

I'm here to ask, if it's okay, where you've taken your undergrad and what was your undergrad major.

Hope to get your response. Thanks, and again, congrats!

It's actually the first time to hear about your school. :D
I'm impressed you got into Berkeley Law from Washington College. What was your GPA and LSAT, if you wouldn't mind me asking?

:)

I'd actually prefer that we don't discuss that in here.

I went to UCLA and did a double major in Political Science and International Development Studies. Did you apply this cycle? If not, what are you doing currently (school, work, etc)? I'd be happy to answer some questions.

Sorry; i'm just new here.

Anyways, I'm from the Philippines and I'm quite interested in taking up law in the US and Berkeley is my dream school. Yeah, I'm more thrilled in getting into Berkeley more than into HYS.
I have a first class L100 economics degree from Girton College, Cambridge, UK, and I'd like to know how would I stand at Berkeley Law admission given that my undergrad degree wasn't acquired from an American school. Am I just dreaming too much on Berkeley?

I don't know if there's much benefit for going to one college over another. I remember reading something about them no longer giving a bump to Ivy Leaguers. Although I imagine if you went out of country that might be a different story entirely. I would contact the admissions office and discuss it with them. Good luck to you.

Once again, I'd contact Admissions. But if you have a Bachelors degree and an LSAT score, I don't see how coming from a school in England would hurt you.

Given that the financial aid office is closed today, should we not expect to hear back on matching offers till tomorrow at the earliest?

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

I hope we at least hear tomorrow. That doesn't leave much time to make the April 15 deadline.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone on here received a matching scholarship yet?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
