does anyone know if we'll be able to park at the school for orientation on Monday/Tues ?

As far as I know, parking restrictions are suspended from Aug 10 to Sept 4.

In D-3.
In D-2 and D-5 you will still get ticketed.
thanks

What does this mean exactly... anyone can park in D-3 until Sept 4?

They are this weekend I think, you can find their hours online somewhere but I don't remember exactly where it was.

I know it's open today.

BTW for those looking to buy books online I was able to save over $300 on 6 books. 2 of the books (CivPro and Crim) accounted for over $200 of savings. I just looked on half.com and Amazon.

These books I couldn't find a better price than the bookstore (I'm in section F):

Bluebook
Torts text
CivPro supplement
Law of CivPro

Heading to north grounds for basketball with a few people at 2pm today. If anyone wants to join, just show up (hopefully we won't have any trouble getting in)

Return policy wrote: Deadline is Thursday sept 3rd at 6 pm

Full credit is given if a books meets return criteria.

New books must be in new and saleable condition
-> No marks of any kind
-> Unbroken binding
-> Unbent covers

Books failing to meet the above criteria have become used books, and may be sold at buyback.

Order online + buy in store. If need be, use in store. Either way return the books you bought at the store once they get in.

Huge hassle that few day, but could save you a lot of money on your [strike]car insurance[strike] books.
So no neurotic highlighting in technicolor that first week? darn :)

If anyone stops by the law school this weekend, they should check if more assignments get posted in that glass box.

Am I the only one that does not use highlighters ever? I thought about buying some today at Office Depot because everyone acts like they are a necessity in law school but I hate them!

I don't either, since more ends up on my body than on the page

I would use them, but I have these tiny hands. And if I hold a highligheter, they'll look even tinier...

You either have a laptop with MS Office preloaded or you can (and basically HAVE to) buy the suite for 10 bucks from Cavalier Computers on campus. The suite includes Outlook which has calendaring capability that you might as well get acclimated with now since you'll be using it from the day you enter biglaw to the day you retire or go crazy.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
