Yesterday I went for brunch and had a Ranchero which is an English muffin with a burger, cheese, chili, and egg on top. Obviously a heart attack waiting to happen but it was really good and came with fresh fruit (that balances it out right?).

So bad news everyone- iceberger called and apaprently there is a really large fee for a pool party, and it's also supposed to rain Wednesday, so I think we're going to have to bag it.

We were thinking maybe we could all meet at Mellow Mushroom around 6 instead, any takers?

Never know, not everyone has the same tastes so maybe it's not for everyone.

Regarding Mellow Mushroom Wednesday, if you're not aware, it's Trivia night that night so it's going to be very crowded from around 6:45 on. If you wanted to play, I'd recommend getting there around 6:30-6:45 to get a big table since you're going to have to sit there til 9 PM when trivia starts to keep your spot reserved. If you're not playing, I'd either go earlier like 5 PM or just pick a different restaurant to avoid the crowd.

Otherwise, if people don't want to go to a crowded restaurant (I admittedly had trouble hearing at Mellow last time and smiled/nodded a lot to avoid saying "huh?" eighty times), I would be happy to have people over for dinner. I live at Jefferson Ridge, next to the Woodlands. I ordered a couch that still hasn't come in, but we have two big chairs, computer chair and a huge kitchen table (seats 6) - I'm sure we could make it work. I can also talk to JR tomorrow and find out more about our clubhouse/pool policies. Any interest in a potluck?

I just got back from Cazon Tropical, a Dominican/Honduran/Salvadorian restaurant. It's pretty awesome food and good portions. They also have several $6.95 lunch specials. If you're looking for something a little different you might give them a try; they're on US 29 at Woodbrook. --LinkRemoved--

They are closed on Tuesdays, however, for some reason.

If you're in C-Ville now, you might want to drop by the bookstore and pick up your CrimLaw casebook. The good used copies are few and far between, and believe me, you'll be spending enough money already without paying the extra $40 for a new one.

Has anyone that has gotten some books confirmed that we can in fact charge books to our student account and not pay for them?

Also, is the orientation schedule posted online anywhere?
