The cost of Law School Books makes me ill.
In other news, I really enjoyed the whole "history of Northwestern" presentation. That lady- can't remember her name now- was entertaining.

I just purchased books on Barnes and Noble (all new) ... after receiving the members discount and an additional 5% for having a B&N credit card, my total cost including shipping is going to be somewhere around $625.00 ... steep, but not terrible for all new books.Elms wrote:The cost of Law School Books makes me ill.

I also really enjoyed Professor Clark-Netsch's presentation!

I dunno... I did a lot of shopping online and ended up getting everything for $457, but that is still a big chunk of change for all used books bought online. I went to bigwords.com and you can enter ISBN numbers and they'll compare prices across several sites for you.EarlCat wrote:If you make the mistake of buying them in the book$tore.Elms wrote:The cost of Law School Books makes me ill.

This is what the website says:stl1622dc wrote:What do we need to wear tomorrow for the reception? Are khakis okay?
Faculty Reception - Thursday, August 27, 2009
Please wear business casual attire as this is one of your first opportunities to meet your professors in person.
Men should wear slacks, polo or button down shirts, ties are optional. Women should wear dresses, slacks or skirts, sweaters or blouses. NO jeans, T-shirts, or flip flops.
For all other events, the recommended attire is casual dress.

Until I applied a new spam filter for all of the law book and U2 ticket stuff, my inbox was a clusterfuck today. I can see how it would get lost in the fray.Corsair wrote:Read your listserv emails! So I woke up this morning to start getting ready for my first class and I began to hear the "Rocky" theme music in my head. I'm officially weird.

It seems so strange that after months of studying for the LSAT, waiting for my LSAT score, preparing applications, waiting to hear back, deciding which school to go to, wishing school would hurry up and start/dreading it in nervous anticipation... the first day is actually here!

Ha, everyone's probably thinking you're really disciplining yourself and not taking out the laptop so you're not tempted to go online during class.hmlee wrote:lol niiiice... wish my new laptop would get here already. Re: Northwestern 2012
I used only pen and paper my first half of the first semester, but eventually it got to the point where I couldn't write fast enough. I listened so much better though.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
