However, by February 18 of last year, they were still on their fifth page.

Yes. When we moved here, we switched my car, to get in-state status, but left my husband's car, which was a gift from his parents, in their name until we sold it a couple of years ago.

Beautiful Boston DaStain. I'm surprised by how many I see in Charlottesville all of the time. I work downtown and bring Penelope to work pretty often. We often run into another Boston or a Boston-lover when we are on the mall. They really are the best dogs ever.
your dogs are insanely cute. so so so cute.

random enough a thought for you, jsporter?

I'm going to Charlottesville tomorrow and plan on looking at lots of housing options (and visiting Chipotle!) so if there's anything specific you're wondering about a certain place or question you have let me know and I'll try to get the info. I'm looking forward to finding somewhere to live, it makes it seem more real!

No, that's way too on-topic and non-random, because that dog IS super cute.

Can you put me on the first page?

One of my friends here has brought this up multiple times. It's kind of amusing.

Anyway, we're against the Hokies tonight. Here's to decimating VT

I'll be there in August. I just found out this week! I already live and work here in Charlottesville. Oh, and I have a black and white French bulldog that is a dead ringer for a Boston terrier. We'll have to arrange a dog park trip together sometime. And I'm always game for pet sitting swaps.

ok ill try to help you out with these... lets see

1. Chinese - yuan ho has amazing carry out (cheap but good for delivery or pick up)
there are a bunch of other delivery places too that leave menus around all the time
theres a good place called Lemongrass on the corner but its more asian fusion.
Also a good place called Downtown Thai on the way to the downtown mall
There's a good hibachi place down rt. 29, i think its called Sakura
(there's is another sakura on the corner so i might be mixing them up)
And my fav is Kyoto which is in the rio hill shopping center (they have boba if anyone knows what that is)
2. Mexican - Chipotle of course if you are a fan. also there is Qdoba on the corner
My personal fav is El Puerto (on rt. 29 across from barracks road shopping center)
And of course there are (i think 4) Guadalajara locations
Plus Baja Bean on the corner is awesome (and a good bar)
3. Pizza - Everyone loves Christians (on the corner and in downtown mall)
Then you got your basic delivery (pizza hut, papa john's, dominos)
CiCi's is in seminole square and ive heard good things (but can't speak from experience)
If you are a little adventurous there is this place called Dr. Ho's Humble pie about 9 miles South that is amazing
4. Burgers - Everyone loves Boylan Heights on the corner (also a popular bar) which is new this year
Cheeseburger in Paradise i think is actually better which is in seminole square
Any bar though (like Virginian) has good burgers
5. Date spots - A bunch of places downtown (Ten is a fancy but cool Japanese place,
Bluelight Grill is very good and also a great bar)
Vivace is also good, it's Italian, right off of ivy road (near ivy gardens kinda)
There are two good french places l'fleur and l'etoile (l'etoile is smaller, more like for lunch)
Also there is a new place called Si on the way to the downtown mall which is good tapas
The best place though is the Downtown Grill which is in the downtown mall and amazing
(owned by the same people as the Virginian)
6. Coffee - There are greenberries around (barracks road, one in clark hall on the undergrad campus)
Starbucks on the corner
People seem to like Parra (sp?) which is a newer spot on the corner down elliewood
7. Healthy Meals - There is a Whole Foods down rt. 29 which has lots of good pre-made healthy choices
If you consider sushi healthy, there are a few
Miyako is in the downtown mall and pretty good
There is also a japanese place on the corner called Sakura

I also have to mention Little John's on the corner. It is a New York style deli that is 24 hours. You can see how this would come in handy.
Please let me know if you want me to think of any others.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
