Mine too, but that's why I'm working and saving money now. They send me a check, it still needs paying off at some point.mikeytwoshoes wrote:You may want to think about that. Although some of that will be reduced (e.g. I don't need $4000 personal), that's a rather... intimidating number.
I may just be ignorant, but do Law Foundation or Perkins Loans mean anything different than the Stafford ones?

True but that seems like quite the risk. I mean you need a laptop, supplements etc. and you might blow through that money fairly quickly.crystalhawkeye wrote:Mine too, but that's why I'm working and saving money now. True, and I'll keep some for sure. Just not all $4000 of it. I hope to have around $12-13,000 saved by the time August rolls around, and assuming the RA position, that'll give me enough for groceries and such 2/3L.mikeytwoshoes wrote:True but that seems like quite the risk. I was more suggesting it as a choice. Not to actually starve but to be fiscally responsible..which would apply to any law school we could be attending, not just Iowa.Jwatson wrote:Why starve? What's Iowa's COL?Whitty wrote:Guys, we're going to be fine.

Not bloody like J. I looked at their website and most profs have rather impressive JDs (ie not from MSU).Jwatson wrote:crystalhawkeye wrote:No, I could live like a Michigander on a scholarship - no jobs, no hope.Jwatson wrote: Crystal could live like a king at MSU. GO SPARTANS.

I feel bad for Jwatson.
Several issues: Either has nothing better to do than troll Iowa threads or is bitter because Iowa wronged him/her in some form.
Regardless, the arbitrary obsession with Iowa for someone with supposedly no interest in attending is odd.

I would not characterize your obsession as healthy, sir.Jwatson wrote:ElmGrant wrote:I feel bad for Jwatson.
