If you go to account.ou.edu you can click on "New User" and enter in your SS# and date of birth to get your OU access ID and figure it all out from there.

I thought I didn't have enough info to get my OUNetID, then I realized I was just starting at the wrong place. I submitted my FAFSA info two days ago and received my financial aid information yesterday.
This is my first time taking on student loans, so I'm treading with caution. They've offered me the maximum amount allowable by law in federal subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford loans, which seemingly covers tuition, books, and then some. From my research it seems these are the "safest" loans with the lowest fixed interest rates, so does this mean I don't need to worry about applying for Perkins and PLUS Loans for graduate and professional students? If anyone is knowledgeable about student loans, I would appreciate any advice.

The default email address is your permanent account. It's naming convention is "
Firstname.Middleinitial.Lastname-1@ou.edu," while your alias can be whatever you like. It can take a few hours for an alias to take effect, but once it does, the alias works just like your default address. Any email sent to your alias will arrive in your OU Exchange inbox, and outgoing messages will be sent from your alias as well. Give it a day to start working, I started receiving emails to my alias within an hour, but it didn't show up in my outgoing emails until the next day.
