I can provide some insight regarding a couple of the professors.Eleanor_Rigby wrote:Care to give us the lowdown on any of these profs?rhit2004 wrote:For those of you interested, the class schedule for incoming 1Ls is posted. You don't know what section you are in yet but you can see when each section's classes will meet and who the professors are. I am sure there are likely to be minor changes but I know it was fun and exciting last year when I was an incoming 1L each time a new piece of information was available.

Contracts – My professor is no longer at WashU.
Torts – Norwood – Very fun professor and her class was quite enjoyable. She clearly enjoys teaching the class. The level of reading is not bad. Last year she had a no laptop in class policy which I presume will continue.
Property – Carfield – Last fall was her first semester teaching the course. The direction of discussions was largely directed by the students in the class raising issues associated with the cases we read and opining about how they felt. The class had a lot of policy discussion but the exam was a more traditional exam covering black letter law. This was the only class where I felt I needed to brief the cases to feel comfortable discussing them in the level of detail required for class.
Legal Practice (Writing) – Moul – Nicest lady on the planet. Class requires a lot of work and a large time commitment, but that is the nature of the class and not professor specific.
