On transcripts, suffice to say that they'll let you know if they didn't get it, otherwise no worries.

They asked for an official one in the admittance letter. I think they wanted it before classes start?

Edit: nope, found the letter, they want it (as per ABA rules) by Aug 1.

Hopefully if they haven't gotten one by a certain point they will remind us. I had mine sent months and months ago but I still worry they didn't get it somehow.

has anyone not accepted their loans/applied with a lender yet except for me?

I applied for loans with Wells Fargo and haven't heard a thing from them. It's been over two weeks now.

Hopefully if they haven't gotten one by a certain point they will remind us. I had mine sent months and months ago but I still worry they didn't get it somehow.

The ABA just requires that they have a transcript-- the date is UVA's decision. I am graduating in August (I had to delay so I could keep my on campus job... my uni is on a hiring freeze but I'm done with classes), so they just said to mail a transcript now and then another one after I get the degree.

Also, incase anyone missed this like I did, the transcript sent to UVA by LSDAS doesn't count as an official one (even if its your final transcript).

also says that we won't get our sections until the Friday before orientation.


People have mention immunization records and such, but I haven't heard anything about that. Have people heard from UVA, or are they just expecting to have to send records to the school?

thank ya. i'm sort of dissapointed that we won't get our sections until a few days before orientation. we can't buy our books before we get our sections, and im pretty sure the money ive saved for books will be spent on clothes before then.

also, does the orientation look pretty relaxed?

yes, me too. that's what taking out a bajillion dollars in loans will do to you.

It only takes like 10 minutes of waiting on line to get the photo taken. The rest of the 3 hours was spent getting small section tours of the school with 1 of your PAs and just hanging out mingling with your new fellow classmates.

I got that packet today as well but only skimmed through it quickly. Orientation seems pretty hardcore.
