Yes. I got it at the end of june, and then I got an updated one based on additional funds about 2 weeks ago.sunshine429 wrote:Hello all! Just curious, has anyone/everyone recieved their fincial aid package?
You financial aid award package is available online at studentaid.rutgers.edu
You just need your netID and password. You can also view it if you log into the myrutgers portal.
That's also where you can see if any documents are still needed like a master promissory note or work study application

Maybe you should try the CVS minute clinic. They do walk-in's and you get your shots quick there. Google it for locations and call before you go... just in case.losjeans wrote:I just got in somewhere after being put on hold for far too long (so long that I hung up on several) by many offices.bobothecat wrote:It was tough getting an appointment--I made it 3 weeks ago and this was the earliest they could give me. Thanks,
I had a digital copy of my shot records that I was able to email to
vaccine@rci.rutgers.edu
They then sent me a reply email telling me I was good, which is saved!!!
The official paperwork they send you is to let you know which shots are required

Does anybody know when we are getting the bill? I was told mid July, but I still have not received anything.

Yeah I hear you.
Just think before you know it you'll be buried in books, outlines, and study materials.
That doesn't do anything for your current boredom but you'll be begging to be bored come September
I thought I read somewhere that term bills were due Aug 6. That could've been for ugrad though. Not all campuses start and end at the same time so the bills could be due at different time too.
Maybe we aren't getting term bills--maybe school's free?

They apply your student loans direct to your bill, and any scholarship money as well. Anything left over gets sent to you. The school should be sending me my check soon.nic_john wrote:Wouldn't that be nice if it was free!!

I don't think we get disbursements before school actually starts. Isn't there some kind of a waiting period after the first day of classes? I thought they had until like 14 days after classes to give you back any extra $$?phooey182 wrote:They apply your student loans direct to your bill, and any scholarship money as well. Re: Rutgers-Newark Class of 2012
Alrighty! I'm at work and I think I'm ready to scoop my eyeballs out with spoons just to have something to do!!
I was looking at how much it would cost to hook up cable and internet in my apartment. They offer Verizon or DirecTV
Verizon has the FiOS which is amazing but very pricey for interweb. I think I'm going to go with the standard hi-speed internet and FiOS cable package w/HD. It would come to just under $100/month. Slightly less than what I pay now but I also have HBO and Showtime. I think I'll go without movie channels for the first semester. If I do well maybe I'll reward myself with a movie channel upgrade.
I've heard Comcast in that area can be really crappy in terms of service and realiability. I haven't herd anything about Verizon. Anybody have this service in the area or heard any comments?

Re: Rutgers-Newark Class of 2012
I have to admit, boredom is setting in and I really want to just start school. As for cable internet packages, I'll probably go with the most cost effective package I can find. I suspect this will probably be through Comcast, but I'm not terribly sure. I'm also expecting the term bill to come in soon. I've heard that we're supposed to return the receipt showing the term bill paid in full to the business office or something to that effect. I still have to mail in my final transcripts from undergrad. I can't wait until all the paperwork is done.dapoetic1 wrote:Alrighty! Fucking waitlists!
I was just accepted to U. of Connecticut. It was my original first choice, but they put me on their waitlist. So I moved to NJ, rented a place, etc. And now they offer me a spot! I told them, politely, that they could offer my spot to someone else. I'm very annoyed now.

Well congrats nevertheless!!! I mean when it's all said and done you got into your #1 choice. Some people weren't so lucky. But think of the good you're going to do allowing someone that maybe didn't get in anywhere yet to get a spot at UConn.
Any reason you picked UConn? Are you from CT? The reason I ask is because there's a chance CT may become my permanent home after graduation due to my spouces job. I certainly wouldn't mind living in CT especially somewhere between Greenwhich and New Haven. There are a decent amount of firm jobs and I've thought about maybe trying to do a summer up there to start making some connections.
Yesterday when I checked my term bill just said Zero. It didn't show any credits charged or scholarships applied.
But today I tried to check it and the page wouldn't load so maybe they're attaching the fees now.

I guess we'll get used to all the gun shots since we'll be spending so many hours in Newark

Funny this is that I'm from Chicago and on the same day of the JC shooting 2 cops in Chicago were shot too.
I can't catch a break.
