I just got the bill too and everything was applied except for my GradPLUS loan. I followed the steps given in the Financial Aid PDF and completed the entrance counseling online. Is there something else I am supposed to do? Is anyone else having this issue?LjakW wrote:Just got the bill... $23,574.00 for one semester.

Yeah Stafford loans were already applied. I think I applied for them the day that we received the PDF file from financial aid.
As for GradPLUS, I spoke with finaid and they said it takes 2-3 weeks longer for those to be approved (and thus applied) because they have to perform a credit check. So I would imagine others will have the same problem, but there's no need to worry (yet).

On the GradPLUS issue, I just got a letter from the Direct Loans people at the Department of Education yesterday saying that my loans had been approved, so I imagine people will start hearing soon. It has yet to be applied to my bill, though I'm assuming that will happen at some point between now and the start of the semester.dbt wrote:Yeah Stafford loans were already applied. If the person in question already had the shots but can't find the record, the other option is to get a titer which will show the antibodies for MMR.red_sox wrote: If you do need to get MMR (because you can't find your past records of whatever), time is short because it consists of two jabs a month apart.

Thanks! I did my promissory note a little bit late, maybe that's why it's still not being applieddbt wrote:Yeah Stafford loans were already applied. I think I applied for them the day that we received the PDF file from financial aid.

The pdf says to complete all the forms by 7/31. Maybe do it sooner? The due date for the bills is 8/10 on the NetPay website.red_sox wrote:Does anyone know when the deadline is for Stafford loans?

Interesting. I never got any letter, but my Stafford and GradPLUS loans were all applied on my statement.stevenr18 wrote:On the GradPLUS issue, I just got a letter from the Direct Loans people at the Department of Education yesterday saying that my loans had been approved, so I imagine people will start hearing soon. And on a side note, I just found a list of the 495 students of the class of 2012 on the website. Is 495 a typical number?

Has anyone looked at the grade distributions? They seem kinder than I had expected.

I find it hard to interpret this, but if you say they're kind that's good!Judicial wrote:Has anyone looked at the grade distributions? They seem kinder than I had expected.

Students who confirm their enrollment may pick up Orientation Packets on the first day of orientation. These Packets will include class schedules and the preliminary schedule of orientation events. In early July, the Office of Student Affairs will email details about when you may pick up your Orientation Packet.

Log on to "Picture Book" https://its.law.nyu.edu/current/picturebook/index.cfm. On the left, you will see "Individuals Not Pictured," click that and scroll down to "J.D. maybe some will withdraw / defer before the beginning of the school year... but 495 is a huge class size.

I spoke with somebody at Admissions today who informed me that they haven't sent out the health packet yet. We should expect them in the next two weeks or so.

Where did you call to find out about this?mightyaphrodite wrote:Check your high school to see if they printed the info on your transcript. It's been a little while, but I spoke to Admissions and the Student Health Center. I believe I got final word on this when I called Student Health.sophie316 wrote: Where did you call to find out about this?
