It's hopeless...every time I think I will take the time to catch up on TLS, you people have gone and messaged 10 more pages! It looks like all I've missed is a mindless discussion between a gunner/troll about what can be categorized as a "bump" versus an assault and perhaps the iphone and new mac.

Here is my question/thoughts about buying a new mac from apple: I'm trying to decide whether to buy the mac bundle from UVA or purchase my own mac next year; has anyone considered that even if you buy apple care for 3 years the closest apple store is in Richmond? This concerns me only because I know that if I don't buy my computer from UVA my current (or future one) will die during exams week and I won't have a computer...thoughts? Is this a serious concern or did I somehow overlook a new apple store coming to Charlottesville?

If this has already been discussed, ignore me since I have fallen behind on the board...damn summer and the good weather that keeps me outdoors!

We've debated the bundles a lot on here back and forth. While I've been against it for a long time, I think I'm about to break down and buy the mac bundle now, because I really like the idea of their free loaner laptops and in-the-law-school service if you buy the bundle. It costs slightly more, but the peace of mind should be worth it.

With the new lineup (13" Macbook), I think several of us agreed that buying from Apple was the better deal even including Apple Care, especially given their usual back to school promotions of free ipods.

Richmond is really not that far, so if you did have to take it in I don't think it would be a big deal. Apple has really great customer service. Also, if you aren't a Mac owner, remember that Macs don't have problems all the time like PCs. I have had this one for several years with no issues yet.

+1 This is a great question. I read somewhere that up to 12 hours of other classes can count towards your J.D. I've been wondering if anyone did that.

I don't plan to, too annoying to go to the undergrad buildings.

That's what I was wondering about. I'm not sure if it's feasible/advisable to do it 1L, at least first semester, but beyond that, I'm not sure.
