YAY! Got an alternative assignment in Mercer. It's nice to know I won't have to worry about apartment hunting.

No I was thinking about that the other day, I guess soon?LjakW wrote:Did anybody end up getting that immunization form yet?
Does anyone know what we need to do re" health insurance? Or do they just automatically enroll us unless we say otherwise?
Also I had a very weird NYU related dream/nightmare the other night. It was the first day of orientation and I couldn't find out where we were meant to be and all emails about it had gone and every time I went to the NYU law website it redirected me to the drudge report(what????). Weird.

Re: NYU 2012
Greetings unto NYU students! Is anyone still looking for housing? I have to move uptown, for obvious reasons, but my little apartment on E 11th between 3rd and 4th will be going back on the market August 1st. It's a large 1br that is currently functioning as a 2br, with lots of privacy, but little common space. It's seriously on the best block in this city, though; I'm standing at my window now, staring at Webster Hall across the street. I'll be sad to leave this place, even though it's downtown tiny. I'm going to talk to our super and see if management will reduce the rent for the next tenant.
Obviously, there is no broker fee.
'Grats to all of you for attending the best school in the T14, and my own personal top pick. I'm not saying I'd leave Fordham, but if I ever did, I would go downtown and nowhere else.

Re: NYU 2012
Hi all,
I am not attending NYU this fall, but I hope to be come fall 2010.
I was wondering if any of you are planning to live in New Jersey and commute? Is this feasible? I am thinking Jersey City or Hoboken would be doable. It seems you can get a two bedroom apartment for the same price as some of you are paying for campus housing.
Also, do any of you know how willing NYU is to increase your budget if you have a family?
Thanks, and Congratulations on NYU!

What do you mean by "confirmed"? If we received an award, it still needs to be confirmed?

If you log on to https://faaps.law.nyu.edu/studentmain.html you will probably see "Returns Received - Award Verification in Progress" in your Current Status.

Ok good good just wanted to check everyone else had the same. I was worried there was an issue with my parents foreign tax returns or something!andol469 wrote:I signed my MPNs and my fin aid status checker still says "Returns Received - Award Verification in Progress." Maybe it doesn't update past the "verification in progress" stage.
Is anyone else starting to get excited??

Re: NYU 2012
I'm not sure, but I thought I saw something that said mid-July on the course registration page of the Academic Login section. Maybe some upperclassmen can chime in.
Has anyone been able to log into the computer store yet using your NetID, as opposed to the basic one they give everyone? I am planning on ordering a computer soon but don't know if you have to do so while logged into the computer store using your own NetID, and so far it still gives the invalid message.
