I figure the long, cold walks will be good practice.
How the hell did you manage that?
Priceline shows it at $249/night.

Just do the 'name your own price' option, select the 3 1/2 stars (or something like it) option, and low-ball it. I was surprised any hotel took it so soon, and it turned out to be the Marriott Cambridge. Happy surprise... my boyfriend may not complain about the costs now!
But what if they stick me out in bumble-f?

Do yourselves a favor. Stay in Alewife and take the T into Cambridge. It is like 10 minutes on the red line and you'll probably save a ton of $$.

I've always had really good luck with priceline. Their locations are specific enough that I've never been stuck somewhere awful. Usually I book a hotel and then do priceline a few days before the trip to see if there are any deals, but if people are having luck this early I might get in on it sooner.

So you lowballed it to $75? Never used this thing.

Well I named my own price. $75. Got the Hyatt Regency. Similar distance as the Marriot, but I haven't heard of anyone else staying there

.
Oh well, can't complain too much. $200/night hotel for $75/night.
Someone book the Hyatt so I don't feel alone.

Seems most people in this thread are doing the March ASW.
And no, you're not staying with friends.

How long is everyone staying? I can't decide whether to fly home Monday night or Tuesday Morning...

I'm arriving Friday evening (13th) and leaving sometime on Tuesday the 17th. This gives me a little time beyond just the ASW to explore the Cambridge/Boston area on my own.
Also, since hotel checkout times are usually earlier than the ASW program ends on Monday (2:45), it would be a pain in the butt leaving Monday. What are you going to do with your stuff if you have to check out before the final events? Lug it around campus?
