Not to interrupt the drinking festitivities, but has anyone actually done the TB testing stuff and gotten their immunization forms filled out yet?

And what would be a good non-alcoholic drink unique to Charlottesville? I've tried some Google searching, but nothing interesting pops up.

Why do we need to be tested for TB? And what are these immunization forms you speak of?

Funny you ask. I got a shot yesterday that tests for TB.

I called my undergrad and had them send my forms to me. They have the most complete record.

Probably b/c of some state law that was passed when TB was more prevalent. The health information requirement (along with orientation and email info) was sent in an email to me May 07th. The subject was "Class of 2012 Enrollment Information."

I haven't gotten it, but I thought it might have been a thing after the second deposit. There goes that idea, unless I'm mistaken.

I sent both deposits and my transcripts back in March, so I don't think that's it.

So I just called the UVA Student Health Center and they said that I can simply get tested by my current doctor to prove I'm immune to everything except TB and Tetanus. So hopefully I only have to get a Tetanus shot and a TB test.

I'm going to see a new doctor soon. I think the last time I was in a doctor's office (not counting my college's health center) was when I got a physical from my pediatrician at the age of 19. I remember sitting in the waiting room while kids were playing with toy trucks all around me and thinking "Clearly I don't belong here anymore."

Nope. I didn't give them these records, so they don't have them (apparently HMOs are too lazy to request them themselves even though I gave them the legally authority to do so).

i guess it's really coming up soon - basically 2.5 months until orientation this is a good thing when i think about 'oh man, law school will be sweet' and a terrible thing when i think about all that has to happen between now and then!

wow, that is an incredible list. Between beer and burritos I will have to run 20 miles a day to keep fit. The place reminds me of the 'Flying saucer' in memphis though.
