Got the acceptance email today (166, 4.0). I'm wondering if anybody got scholarship info with their email, if it comes with the official acceptance package, or if it comes separately later. Now that it looks as though they're trying to drive up the median, I just hope it comes at all.

I was accepted back in November, received an online application for scholarships in late November, and still haven't heard anything. I'm a little worried because when I look on LSN from last year it doesn't look like WI hands out much money compared to other schools. My stats were 171 and 3.91 UGPA.

Anyone else heard about merit scholarships?

From what I've seen they don't do merit scholarships until march.

I got the acceptance email yesterday, and it said the letter is on its way (162/3.79). I haven't made a decision yet, but I gotta tell you, I'm liking the way Madison is looking....

Congratulations to my possibly-future-fellow classmates!

I'm accepted, but I can't justify going to Madison over Iowa for half the price :| Sure, I prefer Madison as a town, but Iowa is ranked higher and I get it for half the price. I WILL say though that Madison is def. going to be rising slightly in their rankings, while Iowa seems to be slipping a little bit.

Are you withdrawing from Madison or are you going to wait to see whether they match the offer?

I have a suspicion that they're not going to match it, but I'll wait and see. The reason it is half the price is because I'm a resident at Iowa. I LOVE Madison, but I also love paying 45,000 for a stellar law program versus 90,000 for a stellar law program.

All WL/borderline applicants should read this: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/08/educa ... yield.html

I wonder if this is playing on the graduate-level as well, thus Wisconsin's bizarre admissions cycle. Being super conservative, especially for yield purposes. Seems to make sense to me.

Anyone know how common it is to receive scholarships from Wisconsin? I'm in-state, already accepted with a 3.6 and a 164. Should I feel lucky just for have gotten in or should I expect some cash? LSN is not helpful here...Thanks in advance to anyone who knows.

In one of my acceptance packets from Wisconsin they said to expect merit based aid offers by mid March, so that will be pretty soon here hopefully.

Heard from a little bird today (hi to any WI law admissions people!) that they are running late on scholarships. From what I understand, they will be given out on a rolling basis at the end of the month, as soon as they figure them out.

Also, if anyone is looking for a non-crazy, sort of clean female roommate, PM me  . I really want a nice apartment but can't afford one without a roommate.

OK ASW people. Spill the beans. How was it? Any information on the random waitlists still out there?

Also, for us on the WL, who is going to have the balls and call the admissions office first to find out when they plan to look at the people waitlisted? The 4/20 "initial deadline" is tomorrow!
