thats awesome. im really glad there will be some eagles fans among us next year.

Yeah, I'll definitely be cheering for the Cards next Sunday. It's disappointing but at least we screwed the cowboys and giants while we were at it.

i'm pretty sure everyone's letter says that. i don't think they can talk to all of us at ASD.
if you want to talk to one of them about something specific, it would make sense to email them.

has anyone received any info about applying for financial aid yet? it says it's supposed to come in january.

I think I've found the perfect house in Charlottesville.

Would any (guys) here be interested in living in a nice house near Ivy for about $600/mo (including utilities)?

Location-wise, it's ideal. Right in between North Grounds and Central Grounds. I'd estimate it's a 5 minute walk to the LS.

4BR/3BA, nice looking home with wood floors, landscaping on the yards. For me it's the price/location/size that I think would be perfect for 1L.

It's on the Off-Grounds Housing site if you want to PM me for the address.

I think you're probably underestimating the walking time to the law school if it's a house. Even from the north edge of Ivy Gardens, it's like 5 minutes.

Yeah, YC corrected me on that. It's probably more like 12-15 minutes walking - more of a good bike ride distance than a walking distance.

Hey Everyone!

Got the call that I was accepted about two days ago and I can not be more excited. I think I've visited the website at least 10 times a day. Anyway, I'll be attending the March 27 ASD. I decided to join this forum to talk about housing and get to know some of you beforehand. From what I've read and heard so far it's going to be a great three years.

How fast does housing go at UVA? I'm not sure if I'm going yet, but if I do, I'm interested in Ivy Gardens. If I waited until after the 3/27 ASD would that hurt my chances of getting a decent place?

Probably not, tons of 1Ls live there.

I'm looking for someone to live with next year...I've also posted on the UVA housing board. I'm a nonsmoking 20 year old female and I'm looking for a roommate who doesn't smoke, as I have allergies.

Okay so I know I keep asking about housing but I'm hoping to move up to Cville probably sooner than most (April/May ish if possible) so I need to hurry up and figure it out!

Does anyone know anything about Carrollton Terrace Apartments or Jefferson Ridge?

And does anyone besides J-Rod (thanks for the PM) have an opinion about The Woodlands? Is it in a good area? Also, is there anything else that is as nice as The Woodlands that is worth looking into? I am really liking the Woodlands so far based on their website and I'd be interested in other properties that are similar (newer and well maintained).

As long as you don't mind the drive to school, I think Woodlands is a good choice. It's probably the most popular 1L apartment complex that isn't near the school.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
