Re: Michigan 2012
im trying to find some good supplements for torts. my section is using Tort Law: Responsibilities & Redress by John C.P. Goldberg, Anthony J. Sebok, and Benjamin C. Zipursky. i cant seem to find any supplements keyed to the textbook. I had planned on reading the casebooks and briefing anyway so its not a problem (plus i've heard good things about glannon's EE). just wondered if anyone else knew of a supplement specific to that text.

Section P!
In terms of class times, I am quite pleased with this schedule.

Wolverine Access isn't the most intuitive site, so either search for "class schedule" or look under Enrollment for My Class Schedule. Then compare with the general class schedule via link provided above for your section. Legal Practice Prof's name will tell you your section assignment. It's possible that I'm an idiot and we already got emails telling us our section assignments. I just haven't checked today.nicoz wrote:http://cgi2.www.law.umich.edu/_ClassSch ... ?term=1760Anhimal wrote:How do we know which section we are in? Where is the list/link to cross reference?

You don't need one for torts. Pretty self-explanatory cases. The torts E&E isn't too great, either. The "CrunchTime" supplement should be more than enough to get you through (keeping in mind that we had Clark, not whoever you have. But it's torts).vyelps wrote:im trying to find some good supplements for torts. my section is using Tort Law: Responsibilities & Redress by John C.P. Goldberg, Anthony J. Sebok, and Benjamin C. Oh, and if you do any formal case briefing after the first week, you are wasting precious time.

Clark goes straight through the casebook. You'll get 20-30 pages of reading each night, in the order it appears in your book, and you'll cover it via the Socratic Method the next day. Very entertaining guy. Good sense of humor.safari wrote:Section F.... I knew I was going to get an 8 o'clocker!! Anyone else?

Oh, and his tests are 100 percent issue-spotters, all available via the library's Web site.

Anyone have Crane (Contracts), Krier (Property), or Herzog (Torts) before and care to give some insight? Thanks!

If you look at "Select display options," you'll see three circles ("List View," "Weekly Calendar View," and "Textbook List View"). Click on the third and you'll see the textbooks for all of your classes. You can also click on the numerical hyperlink to get this information for each class.safari wrote:And how do you check books and reading assignments on Wolverine Access?
You can also go here (http://cgi2.www.law.umich.edu/Files/Rec ... Files.aspx) for the first day class assignments.
Out of curiosity, anyone know about Kraus (Contracts/Visiting from UVA), Krier (Property), Hershovitz (Torts), or Falon (Legal Practice)?

Another one for section G. I'm more of a morning person, so I'm liking our schedule.

i dont know anything about them, other than Krier co-wrote the casebook that we are using for property and Kraus co-wrote the casebook for contracts. the wikipedia site for Kraus says he is a "rough" cold caller. anybody else know anything?sleepyturtle wrote:N, actually. Re: Michigan 2012
Section F here.
I just went to Ulrich's and spent $620 on most of my books for this semester. I still need two course books and outlines for the 3 substantive courses. I'll definitely be trying to sell these to other 1Ls come spring/summer.
By the way, are there other incoming, non-summer starter students going to Dominick's tomorrow? If so, I'd love to meet some of you all there, but I hesitate to crash on a group of only summer starters who just finished exams.
Let me know, and maybe I'll see some of you tomorrow.
