Do any folks use an online service to back up your computer? Any suggestions?

Oooh, I'd probably be down for soccer occasionally. I have knee problems though, so I'll have to see how it goes.USC2009 wrote:I started using the IMSB today. I'll pretty much be working out every day from now on, so let me know if you want a workout partner. OK and I were talking about playing soccer, and if anyone else is interested, lemme know. I'm not sure how/when/where we can play, but we'll figure it out.
You might want to call the ticket office re: your football tickets. I called them today and they said they were waiting for verification that I am a registered student before they mail them. I don't know when that is supposed to be confirmed; I emailed the admissions office trying to get more info and haven't heard back yet. I guess even if verification comes late tickets will be available in will-call, though.

Hmm, ok, I'll call them or go by.
And the gyms are open if you pay 30 bucks.

I'm going to be on campus in a few days. Where are the gyms located at UM (more specifically ones with weight rooms)? Also, is that a $30 fee per semester to use the gyms or just if you want to use them before school starts?USC2009 wrote: And the gyms are open if you pay 30 bucks.

30 dollar fee is just to use them before classes start.

It's going to cost me $710 to rent a Uhaul Truck + trailer for my car... is this normal? NYC --> Ann Arbor. I had NO IDEA it would cost this much. Law School is starting to become an incredible drain on my resources and school hasn't even started!

Yeah, that's pretty typical. Uhauls are expensive.

Check Penske and/or Budget Truck too... I got a 16' Penske from DC to Ann Arbor for $260...and Uhaul was going to be like $475...topsome wrote:It's going to cost me $710 to rent a Uhaul Truck + trailer for my car... is this normal? Topsome, I got a Budget truck for under $500 ($650 at pick-up including a deposit of $150, which you get back when you drop it off). I'm doing NJ --> AA, and they estimate the cost by the miles driven, so I bet it would be about the same from NY. I checked out U-Haul as well, and their estimate was around $7-800. Go to budgettruck.com...good luck!

Yeah, Penske quoted me at $800 from Chi--> Ann Arbor. The cheapest I could find was around $300. I decided to buy furniture and other big stuff once I'm down there from craigslist.

Re: Michigan 2012
Thanks for the replies! Am I doing something wrong? When I go to Budget or Penske, I keep getting quotes for $800+ is this because I need to rent a tow for my car as well? Are you guys getting $400 for truck and tow?

Re: Michigan 2012
Hey guys here is the response I got about football tickets:
"We are excited for you to join us in just a few short weeks. I have contacted the football ticket office and found out that they have changed their ticket mailing procedures slightly. Apparently, they are not mailing tickets until students are registered for fall courses. Since 1Ls will not be registered for fall courses until sometime next week, they have not mailed out any 1L tickets yet. We will be sending out an email soon when we know for certain, but most likely you will just need to pick them up at the ticket office sometime before the first game. Sorry for the inconvenience, but rest assured we are making sure you don't go football-less. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you at orientation!"

I'm living in the Lawyers Club--I know orientation starts the 24th, when can/should I move in to the LC?
Thanks!

Oh, in case anyone already in A2 is interested, I'm hoping to see both Ponyo (by the animator god hayao miyazaki) and District 9 this weekend. Perhaps a 2-for-1 hop? Let me know!

I was wondering the same thing, thanks. And what a nice e-mail. They easily could have just referred you to the ticket office yourself or something.tralinds wrote:Hey guys here is the response I got about football tickets:
