Re: Michigan 2012
After looking over my original bid list, I'm satisfied with the amount of interviews I got. There's really only 2 that I didn't get that I really wanted: Greenberg Traurig and Wildman Harrold. Other than that, my schedule isn't THAT bad. The only problem is the scheduling. On Wednesday, I have six interviews between 8:30a and 12p. That's going to be killer.

Re: Michigan 2012
Quick question - Anybody know when we should expect to receive our section assignments/schedule? I was under the impression that it would be early this week, but I just wanted to confirm.

My classes were already assigned to me in wolverinaccess around this time, so after comparing the schedule with the registrar's website, I narrowed down my section.

Hey everyone,
I'm thinking about opening a checking account in Ann Arbor in addition to the one I already have- does anyone have any recommendations? Do most people use the TCF Mcard account I just got an e-mail about?

I just switched my car insurance to Michigan and was pleasantly surprised: 6-month premium only went up $8 (keeping coverage limits same) to $488. I was bracing for much worse, so this is exciting.

Oh, and burrito club, add me on facebook. Since I like to assume everyone is as bad as me when it comes to remembering names (or for anyone who doesnt want to look back a page in this thread): Andreas Becker, USC and UM networks.

Have any of you guys received football tickets in the mail yet? Mine haven't come, and I know people who have gotten theirs, although none of them are law students...

Yeah, my (well the ones I bought for another student's wife, since I won't be going to games this year) tickets have arrived. I don't know when, as I just got back to AA, but they were in my mailbox when I got here late Saturday night.
Hey Go State, are you still looking for a place to live? Someone posted this on lawopen yesterday (if you're interested, I can give you the person's email address):
As a result of an unfortunate miscommunication, I have a lease that =20
runs a year longer than I need. SO, I'm looking for someone to take =20
over my lease. Details are below.
1BR, unfurnished apartment in the Hidden Valley Club apartment complex =20
(on State, just north of Eisenhower). Apartment has central air, a =20
GIANT balcony, dishwasher and fireplace, and comes with 2 parking =20
spaces and free access to the community pool and fitness center.
Lease term: Aug. 20, 2009 to Aug. 20, 2010
Price: $784.00 per month, with September's rent free.
Rent includes gas (heat), water, and trash. The only additional =20
expenses are electricity and TV (you're close enough to the clubhouse =20
to use their free wireless internet signal).
The UMich bus stops right in front of the complex, and it's only a 10 =20
minute ride to the law school. Pets are allowed, for a small =20
additional fee.
The entire complex is quiet and very safe. I never hear my neighbors =20
(including those above me, who have 4 small children). The carpet is =20
new, and the appliances are all in good condition. I was very happy =20
living here.

Re: Michigan 2012
Is that how we find out? Wolverine access? Or do we just get notified of our section number at some point? Cuz the fall 2009 class schedule is up already.summertimechi wrote:still no classes yet on wolverine access. anxious 0L excitement will continue.BrianEno wrote:My classes were already assigned to me in wolverinaccess around this time, so after comparing the schedule with the registrar's website, I narrowed down my section.
Edit: sorry, read back through thread, saw that we'll have to match up our registered classes in WA with the schedule. never mind.

I started using the IMSB today. I'll pretty much be working out every day from now on, so let me know if you want a workout partner. OK and I were talking about playing soccer, and if anyone else is interested, lemme know. I'm not sure how/when/where we can play, but we'll figure it out.

Yes -- if anyone is down for some pickup soccer -- the co-ed, friendly, barely competitive type of soccer let USC or I know, I'd really be interested in getting together to play, but not in something crazy organized and/or horribly competitive. Too many burritos for that.USC2009 wrote:I started using the IMSB today. I'll pretty much be working out every day from now on, so let me know if you want a workout partner. And yeah, lighter pick-up-and-play style.
