Awesome! What nights are good for people? I have plans next Friday, but Saturday works. I can do weeknights too, If I move my schedule around. I just want to go to a decent lounge with good vodka and champagne. This is a celebration and should be treated as such! I have several ideas (event planning and PR ftw), but it really will come down to how many people can come and how much we want to spend.geoanthem wrote:Holla, let me know and I'm in. Any requests?
Thoughts or ideas? We can move this to the lounge If people don't want to clutter this thread.

I'm in...
How's a happy hour sound. I'll be back in NYC next week and after memorial day would be great for me

Happy hour is great! Does this mean we want a weeknight instead of a Saturday? Would next Wednesday or Thursday (assuming happy hour) work, or do we need more time to plan this?casper00 wrote:I'm in...

In other news.......
It finally came! Mine had a hand written note from Dean Brown at the bottom. I started crying when I read it. Now that I have the letter it feels so official.
I'm reading the little binder as I type this. I seriously wish it was 1905. When Fordham Law opened that year, tuition was $100 a year. Oh wait, screw that. Women weren't admitted until 1918.

I think a lil later seems more feasible in terms of planning. How about Tuesday, May 26th, the day after memorial day?OperaSoprano wrote:Happy hour is great! May 26th consensus? Right after work, or slightly later?

Re: Fordham Law School Class of 2012
There is an issue of fairly large significance to our entering class, which I discovered today. I believe we have USNews to thank for this development: Fordham just cut the part time program by 25%. There were 160 PT students in last year's entering class. This year, there will be 120.
I hope everyone will read this thread and leave comments. This effects all of us, because of the potential loss of revenue to the school:

Did I read that previous post right, that they are considering increasing merit awards, like making existing ones bigger?

May 26th is on a roll! For those outside New York, we'll do it again soon! I can put this together If people would like me to. Event planning used to be a big part of my job. I seriously can't wait to meet my classmates! <3

Not yet! Any suggestions? I'm down for anything that isn't a total dive. Once we get a head count, we'll know what will work.casper00 wrote:have we decided on a place for the 26th?

I am up for any of the above. I live just south of Union Square, and there are about four million bars and lounges in my neighborhood. What works for everyone else?SmittyLaw wrote:what neighborhood is good for everyone to meet? union sq area? e village? midtown somewhere?
I seriously can't wait to meet you guys. Waiting for August is impossibly hard....

I'd be happy to. So far I think we have seven people in. If no one has preferences or suggestions, I'll give this some thought and post my ideas.casper00 wrote:OS why don't you just pick a place?
