Where were you thinking of partying?
And yes, dim sum, Saturday, 11am, at the Golden Unicorn in Chinatown. A few of my non law school friends are coming. The more the merrier.

Whole Foods beer run, then someone's apartment (cheaper than a bar)? I hear OS's apartment is overrun with Coronas...sentinal5656 wrote:the fledgling wrote:Where were you thinking of partying?

I know where you live, you know. If you don't come drink our beer, I can come find you.silenziatori wrote:Whole Foods beer run, then someone's apartment (cheaper than a bar)? I hear OS's apartment is overrun with Coronas...sentinal5656 wrote:the fledgling wrote:Where were you thinking of partying?

Seriously, we would love to have you guys over here. I'll double check with my roommate for Saturday night, but I know she wants to hang out as well. I like the dim sum idea, and will try to come. They have veggie stuff, right? <3

Veggie dim sum is not that easy to come by. Depending on the dim sum place, sometimes there is a spectrum of veggieness which begins with teeny diced pieces of meat.

b. Steamed Veg in (sauce) that have been in no contact at all with meat... or seafood for that matter.
c. Yams. Mmmm.
Rule of thumb for dim sum (veggie or otherwise): know what it is you're ordering.

So what's the deal for tonight? Or are we still going by the let's just wing it and see plan that popped up in Property?
Fledgling and I were discussing downtown possibly, unless you guys just want to stick around the area?

There are dim sum places that specialize in vegan food, but this is not one of them. Sorry guys. We're going traditional on this one. There are seafood dishes. Shrimp is fairly common. Can you eat that?

Dim Sum's a joint effort
A couple of my non-law school friends are on board already, including a vegetarian if that entices anybody.

Is Saturday night good?
Fledgling: Nah, I'm a pure veggies girl. You should enjoy them, though, if you like them.

So are most people on here vegan/vegetarian/some combo thereof?
I can't vouch for this place's menu (that's fledgling's department lol), but every dim sum place I've been to (though admittedly not anywhere near the east coast) has some form of tofu and steamed veg in either oyster sauce or ginger/garlic combo sauce.
Fledg- yeah, 4:30. At the Atrium, although you should see what's going on from the library lobby, non?

Can someone please explain this ninja deal again?
OS, take a quick read of it anyway. It's... informative.

There should at least be one tofu dish. And taro's common and is usually (someone correct me if I'm wrong) vegan-ish. Worse comes to worse, you can order veggie lo mein and bean curd (similar to soft tofu) from the kitchen.
