but, the only problem is...in mid- jan.. waiting for a bus ..or walking that distance...would be a real pain in the arse..
Edit: Woohoo! they just got my seat deposit!! it's official!
better to wait for a bus than to walk any distance up that hill...

I rented a reasonably priced one bedroom on a residential street that's about a 20 minute walk from the law school, but very near a bus line that goes straight to the law school. But then, I like to live sort of removed from things. It seems like the perfect place for me, since I've heard it's quiet, but it's also walking distance to the law school, collegetown, and the commons.
I'm sooo excited.

Hey, will you move that list I compiled on page 5 to the front of this thread?

Whoops, sorry I didn't do that earlier, I've been traveling some and haven't been checking the site regularly.
But yeah, it's done.

Lol... Hell no... I'll be waiting for the bus to come and pick me up.
edit: 20 min walk up that hill is a no-go for me in ANY kind of weather.

I lived in lower collegetown as an undergrad and always walked. It wasn't so bad, and my classes then were further away from my houses than the law school will be.

I thought about buying a motorcycle again because I had one while I was living in Gainesville and it was pretty convenient to move around town and campus.
But then I remembered I was going to be living in Ithaca.
I'll be bringing my car and will likely be driving frequently to NYC and DC, so if anyone wants to carpool, I wouldn't mind sharing the costs. I can only fit one person in my little car and two small suitcases though.

So a friend of mine decided not to work this summer, now we're talking about a road trip to move me to Ithaca. Coming from Portland, OR, what would be the cool stuff to see along the way?

Not sure but I always use lonely planet - USA as a reference for road trips.
