Re: The MAP LC thing, you can actually move in Aug. 17 for $120. I was planning on doing that since my Ann Arbor house's lease ends that day, so I could move directly in...maybe it means they will waive that fee, though, which would be baller

Maybe Michigan didn't want an arrogant jerk like yourself joining us? Hope you enjoy SLS.SLSman2012 wrote:LS and HLS so ya boy aint really trippen...yield protection? lol
I'm pretty sure MAP attendees in the fall get to stay in a hotel for the week and then you move into the LC after it ends.hdg315 wrote: Just got the MAP e-mail as well. Is anyone else confused about why they ask whether we will be moving into the lawyers club or need housing for the week? I thought we couldn't move into the LC that early.

It's not yield protection, it's d-bag protection, and we love Dean Z. for utilizing it in all of the right situationsSLSman2012 wrote:Im still on the waitlist here but I got into SLS and HLS so ya boy aint really trippen...yield protection? lol

we don't allow people in who think "ya boy aint really trippen" is for saying by anyone that's educated above the second grade level.itzjulz wrote:It's not yield protection, it's d-bag protection, and we love Dean Z. for utilizing it in all of the right situationsSLSman2012 wrote:Im still on the waitlist here but I got into SLS and HLS so ya boy aint really trippen...yield protection? lol

Let me let you in on a little secret: Very few people actually do the readings.itzjulz wrote: Me too! Though, not too excited about having reading assignments the same night as our "post-banquet evening outing"

They instituted that commitment to integrity thing the year after my class, which has always made me wonder if it was some type of commentary on our integrity.

While we're at it, is this MAP schedule going to interfere with our Blink show? I don't have the energy to figure out "timing" and "dates" and "planning" right now.Merriweather wrote:while you're at it, skip the commitment to integrity speech and the fake class at the beginning of orientation. go big or go home.tl wrote:Let me let you in on a little secret: Very few people actually do the readings.itzjulz wrote: Me too! SOOO excited for football season. I plugged all of the games into my iCal the other day and got really excited (except for maybe the random game against Delaware State..wtf?)
Oh yeah, they also DO make maize and blue speedos. So you know, you've got your uniform for the games:

Okay, warning heeded. I didn't pay anything for the copy I have, so I'm glad I didn't waste any moneyMerriweather wrote:DO NOT DO LEEWS.

I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to legal writing (with the exception of some basic performance agreement contracts that I use at my current job), so can any current students recommend a good legal writing guide or something else that might help when it comes to writing for exams? I know there are other threads about this, but I'd appreciate insight from current UM students on what you guys might have found to be successful
I probably wouldn't need a leg up in this area if I had been a paralegal or something, but this little admin assistant/pseudo-booking agent could use some help

Hope so, because if I end up dying from my multiple stab wounds because I passed through detroit alone for this concert I'm going to come back as a ghost and haunt the shit out of all of you.itzjulz wrote:No, Blink is Saturday the 22nd =)FlightoftheEarls wrote: While we're at it, is this MAP schedule going to interfere with our Blink show? Regarding the Blink 182 tickets:
Looks like tomorrow (WEDNESDAY) they will have no service fees again. I got an email about this in regard to Rock the Bells, but I assume it is like this for all tickets.
BUY THEM TOMORROW (I'm looking at you, julz

Re: Michigan 2012
I know that at Mich admitted students weekend, all the profs stressed that we shouldn't be reading any supplements or law-related things to prepare for the fall. Still, I see that a bunch of people doing it, and I wanted to know if I will be completely screwed if I go into the fall blind. Current students- did any of you not touch any of this kind of reading before the semester started? Was it a disadvantage?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
