On a side note, does anyone have an idea when they will inform us what classes the summer starters will be taking?

You receive a letter from admissions but I don't remember when... Maybe February? I think you will know before preview weekend because by then, I knew the professor teaching our mock class was one of my summer professors. The letter comes with info about them.

Congrats on the acceptance, as for financial aid stuff you can now fill out the FAFSA and I recall it being we won't hear about financial aid until february the earliest.

Regarding the housing situation at Michigan - I think I'll be subletting a room for the summer, but would much more interested in getting a house for summer through the end of the spring semester. If anyone does not want to live in the LC and would be interested in figuring something like this out, let me know.

yarr screw you michigan. just went complete today, month and a half after i submitted. i didn't even realize i wasn't complete yet. i thought they were sending my decision!

That seems like an inordinate amount of time, was there something missing from your file? How long after applying did you receive status checker.

I wonder if they are really backed up. I have spent the winter so far enjoying the summer in the southern hemisphere. So I was surprised to come back to learn that I did not even get my UM ID by the time it was meant to come (2 weeks ago). I guess I should email them or something.

nothing was missing. although now i recall that i sent the michigan app a few days later than the rest of my apps. so a month and a half is an exaggeration, but it's still over a month.

also, what's the best way to look for a roommate? i'll be attending the april ASW but i'm not sure if that'll be conducive to finding someone... do people use craigslist, or is there some sort of forum through the admitted students website?

one other thing, it looks from craigslist like there are a TON of really nice, new apartments for really cheap (i'm talking $900 for a 2br) that are in these gated communities 2-3 miles from campus... do michigan law students tend to live in those places?

There is a board on the admitted students website, but it doesn't look like there's too much traffic there yet.

Does anyone know about apartments available within walking distance of the school?
