Doubt thou the stars are fire,
Doubt that the sun doth move,
Doubt truth to be a liar,
But never doubt I love Fordham.

Come on along and listen to
The lullaby of Fordham.
The hip-hooray and ballyhoo,
The lullaby of Fordham.
The rumble of the subway trains,
The rattle of the taxis.
The legal profs that educate
On policy and...tort...ees....
-42nd Street...ish

Re: Fordham Law School Class of 2012
I met a Fordham undergrad alum last night. I told him that I was going to Fordham for law school in the fall and he said "Oh awesome! Yeah, they are building a new law school. It's still a top 10 law school as it is, and when they rebuild it's going to be ranked even higher!".
I said "Damn right it is!"

King Leonidas: "THIS IS FORDHAM!"
Ok that was my last one.

Where are all the other Fordham heads? There are like 28 people in the Facebook group, yet only like 7 people posting to this thread.

I don't think they are as addicted to TLS as us...silenziatori wrote:Where are all the other Fordham heads? There are like 28 people in the Facebook group, yet only like 7 people posting to this thread.

Yeah, but I post here and I'm not in the Facebook group, and I definitely count for approximately 21 Facebook groupies.

Would you rather post stuff on Facebook or here? I'm thinking of inviting the Facebook group to post here, but since there's a wall available on Facebook, we could just move the thread over there. Our response count on TLS would ultimately be anemic though.

I guess we don't wanna start a TLS clique before we even start classes.silenziatori wrote:Would you rather post stuff on Facebook or here? I'm actually surprised more people haven't joined the Fordham facebook group. The GW Law group, for example, already has several hundred people in it.

Did they all leave the group after the new rankings came out?nitsudrx wrote:I'm actually surprised more people haven't joined the Fordham facebook group. The GW Law group, for example, already has several hundred people in it.

It was a mass exodus! The Emory group had to split into two in order to accomodate them all!geoanthem wrote:Did they all leave the group after the new rankings came out?nitsudrx wrote:I'm actually surprised more people haven't joined the Fordham facebook group. This can only be a good thing, because it will lead to a more devoted class. I was not the only waitlistee who would have faced the Spanish Inquisition for Fordham.nitsudrx wrote:It was a mass exodus! One more thing I wanted to share, for my beloved part time classmates:
The Fordham part time yield this year (confirmed in person by Dean Brown): about 75%
Most recent yield, Harvard Law School (from ABA data on LSAC): 68%
Some serious congratulations are in order. Fordham is now more coveted than Harvard!

Wow. So part time waitlist should be stiff and slow this summer.OperaSoprano wrote:One more thing I wanted to share, for my beloved part time classmates:

I haven't joined the Facebook group because I don't want my employer to know I'm going to law school yet (I'm Facebook friends with a bunch of colleagues, including the floor gossip--didn't know that when she friended menitsudrx wrote:I'm actually surprised more people haven't joined the Fordham facebook group. My boss actually found out when I made a deliriously happy facebook announcement. I had been meaning to tell him...the fledgling wrote:I haven't joined the Facebook group because I don't want my employer to know I'm going to law school yet (I'm Facebook friends with a bunch of colleagues, including the floor gossip--didn't know that when she friended menitsudrx wrote:I'm actually surprised more people haven't joined the Fordham facebook group. Since I quit yesterday, though, it won't matter much. I am through putting up with that man's creepiness and massively unprofessional behavior... now that I'm going to FORDHAM!
Now I just have to find something worthwhile to do this summer. If anyone has ideas, especially if they pay money, PM me.

Re: Fordham Law School Class of 2012
I think it would just be a missed opportunity. Although, they're supposed to give out a homework assignment as part of orientation. Probably isn't important though.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
