That would be a good place to end. I was thinking a day on the lake, followed by some bbqing, then some bar action.

I'm getting excited...
It seems like we'll have a pretty chill class, given the kids I met at ASD and the kids on TLS. Most people seem social and normal - I was worried about entering a neurotic student body.

Agreed. I met lots of normal, cool people at ASD and can't wait to get to Ithaca in August!como wrote:I'm getting excited...

honestly so was I. some people on TLS seem like they've gone off the deep end waiting to get into a school and studying for the LSAT. Which is understandable, but I don't know if I would want to spend three years with people that neurotic(like you put it).

I didn't get a chance to go to any, hence why I am ADDICTED to all this online stuff (pathetic). I just had a full semester of things I couldn't miss.

all depends on leases and such i suppose. hughes' contract starts relatively late, so if all goes well then sadly no mixer for me.como wrote:When is everyone going to be moving to Ithaca?
i was at the first ASD as well, i was the nervous kid at the back of the room who had the unfortunate luck of going first during the whole "stand up and introduce yourself" thing. but the whole experience was pretty neat.

p.s. @ bishopus, i'm pretty sure we were at the same ASD because i remember someone saying they were involved with videogames. im browsing the facebook group and dang, bioware is one my favorite developers... knights of the old republic and jade empire have consumed many more hours of my life than i would care to admit.
I think you can request to move in earlier if you state a specific reason for doing so. I think I remember seeing something about that somewhere through the online app. Maybe I'll email and ask and let you know.

Hah...that reminds me of my senior thesis on Emmanuel Levinas' ethics in Michael Haneke's film 'Cache'. I pounded the majority of it out in about 72 hours with ~1.5 pounds of coffee. Memories...
Things are pretty lame up here. I'm keeping myself busy at work on TLS of course

Facebook has been giving me all sorts of mischief recently. I think I need to man up and get my laptop, because my comp is full of malware. I'm sorry if I haven't responded to any fb mail, but I haven't been able to do much more than change my status

nah, its cool i just sent you the info about applying to hughes online, i didn't think you were on TLS and had a brief moral dilemma about whether i should spread the word or keep it on the down low, but my conscience prevailed.como wrote:Facebook has been giving me all sorts of mischief recently.
