Agreed. I met lots of normal, cool people at ASD and can't wait to get to Ithaca in August!

honestly so was I. some people on TLS seem like they've gone off the deep end waiting to get into a school and studying for the LSAT. Which is understandable, but I don't know if I would want to spend three years with people that neurotic(like you put it).

all depends on leases and such i suppose. hughes' contract starts relatively late, so if all goes well then sadly no mixer for me.

i was at the first ASD as well, i was the nervous kid at the back of the room who had the unfortunate luck of going first during the whole "stand up and introduce yourself" thing. but the whole experience was pretty neat.

p.s. @ bishopus, i'm pretty sure we were at the same ASD because i remember someone saying they were involved with videogames. im browsing the facebook group and dang, bioware is one my favorite developers... knights of the old republic and jade empire have consumed many more hours of my life than i would care to admit.

I think you can request to move in earlier if you state a specific reason for doing so. I think I remember seeing something about that somewhere through the online app. Maybe I'll email and ask and let you know.

nothings going on im just doin what it do, staying awake for 48 hours trying to bang out 30 pages on jacobean revenge tragedies so i can graduate on friday. hows things in your neck of the woods?

Hah...that reminds me of my senior thesis on Emmanuel Levinas' ethics in Michael Haneke's film 'Cache'. I pounded the majority of it out in about 72 hours with ~1.5 pounds of coffee. Memories...

nah, its cool i just sent you the info about applying to hughes online, i didn't think you were on TLS and had a brief moral dilemma about whether i should spread the word or keep it on the down low, but my conscience prevailed.
