One is a colonial near campus, the other is a 4500 sq. ft. country estate ~10 miles outside of town but possibly worth it considering that's a ton of space for four people.

What are you looking to pay? I didn't think you could get much cheaper than about $500/mo in Charlottesville. The cheapest 1BR apartments are $700 and most of the houses with multiple bedrooms are about $400 per room.YCrevolution wrote:Unfortunately, I don't quite have the budget for it.

We're going to the Sugar Bowl which we're almost guaranteed to win against Utah. New Year's in New Orleans is a pretty good consolation prize. I'll drown my lost national championship hopes on Bourbon Street.Rainmaker11 wrote:How are you holding up?

So I haven't been accepted yet, but I received an email from Jason Dugas, the admissions director, asking me to call him at my convenience. Did any of yall get an email like that? Does he just want to ask some questions or something? Sorry if this has already been discussed, 9 pages is a lot to look through.

Re: UVA Class of 2012
Sounds like an acceptance, as that's UVA's usual protocol this cycle (an e-mail telling you to call them). I'm assuming Dean Trujillo has passed on the responsibility for RD acceptance calls. Hurry and call to find out!rbrown05 wrote:So I haven't been accepted yet, but I received an email from Jason Dugas, the admissions director, asking me to call him at my convenience. Hey,
So who do I need to add to the list. Has anyone else decided to go to UVA?
Another question for you guys. What are you planning to do in order to prep for law school? Classes, SEO (?), etc.
I want to go travel around Latin America and live in Buenos Aires for an extended amount of time but I kind of feel bad that I won't be doing anything to prep for classes in August. Any thoughts? What are all of you planning?

If you have the opportunity to do this, DO IT. There's not much you can do to prep and even then, it's of limited value. I did the Law Preview (because it was free for me) and honestly, it didn't help all that much. You may get a jump on the first week or two of classes but it's not going to make or break you when it comes time for exams. If need be, read a hornbook while sipping Colombian coffee in a cafe in Argentina but don't feel like you HAVE to prep.RTF wrote:I want to go travel around Latin America and live in Buenos Aires for an extended amount of time but I kind of feel bad that I won't be doing anything to prep for classes in August.
