On that note, UVA is now my top choice.ndm2007 wrote:ugh, seriously. One of my main criteria for picking a school was where I thought I would find the fewest number of douchebags. Scrolling through some of the other 2012 class threads and comparing it to this one, I've definitely made the right choice.thesealocust wrote:Fixed. Just a quick question RE: Our scholarship offers, since there was little information on the letter. Do we just need to send out deposit by the first deadline to keep it? There's not an earlier deadline or anything correct?

+1, then you have those very few who are brilliant and will make it out to Feb Club - that would be awesome.bulldog4574 wrote:Overt Gunners = bane of my existencethesealocust wrote:hehehe... we should form The UVA Law Junior Anti-Gunner's League.

Posted this before but if any of you are interested in living with 3 current 1Ls, let me know. We have 1 room left in our apartment, 4 bed/4 bath. I think it would be about $580/month including utilities. 5 minute walk to school, 1 minute walk to Barracks.

Does everyone here already have their living situation settled for next year? I'm just slightly concerned that I won't find anything good since it will be some time before I can make it out to Charlottesville again.

I think you have plenty of time you just probably won't get first pick anywhere (closest apartments at Ivy) and some places are full (Jeffersonian, maybe Arlington?), but that's just my guess.jdn012 wrote:Does everyone here already have their living situation settled for next year? If SIS is accurate, the first schedule leak of the year is that you guys are going to have CivPro as your 2 PM class...be thankful it's not the 8:30 one.

Re: UVA Class of 2012
For the most part, all sections have each class at the same approximate time so most likely all of you will have it at 2 if that's accurate. CivPro, Contracts, and Torts are 4 credits so you'll have them 3 times a week for 80 minutes or 4 times a week for 60 minutes. 3 times a week is more typical. CrimLaw is 3 credits so that'll be 2 times a week for 80 minutes or 3 times a week for 60 minutes.showNprove wrote:Everyone? Or just one or two sections?gladiator wrote:If SIS is accurate, the first schedule leak of the year is that you guys are going to have CivPro as your 2 PM class...be thankful it's not the 8:30 one.
Edit: I just looked. Is CivPro actually 4 days a week for an hour per day??? Is it a 4 credit class?

How do the sections work exactly? Will we have all four classes with the exact same people, or are a couple of sections mixed together in each class, or what?

Re: UVA Class of 2012
I recall hearing that we have all our classes with the same 30 people, but only one class is with just those people. The other classes consist of 3 (I think) sections thrown together.limegreen wrote:How do the sections work exactly? I have no clue, but I thought someone at ASD said that we would also have classes with just 2 sections (so like 60 people). - Anybody else remember this, or did I just tune out during the entire day?Cavalier wrote:I recall hearing that we have all our classes with the same 30 people, but only one class is with just those people. But then how many classes do we have with the full 90-120 people?

Re: UVA Class of 2012
I thought (with emphasis because I don't really remember correctly) - it was 2 classes with 30 (one of which is Legal Writing), 2 with 2 sections (60 people), and 1 with 3 sections (90). But again, I could just be dreaming this.JSUVA2012 wrote:But then how many classes do we have with the full 90-120 people?

Nah, that actually sounds right. I think that's what they said at ASD.jdn012 wrote:I thought (with emphasis because I don't really remember correctly) - it was 2 classes with 30 (one of which is Legal Writing), 2 with 2 sections (60 people), and 1 with 3 sections (90).
