Really? You plan to cook during the first year? I feel cooking (and dish cleaning) could be too time consuming given the academic pressure.

I really shouldn't be up this late.

haha. "Time to cook." How demanding of your time do you think law school is going to be? Certainly hls will be more demanding than college, but I assure you that you'll still have some life, some time, each and every day.

You guys can all come and use my kitchen. I hate cooking (when I was in Scotland, I ate pasta with pesto sauce and a can of corn for dinner practically every night, for 3 and a half months), and I'm always willing to be friends with people who will make me food.

Not just for law school students... Undergrads come to our gym as well =(sluggo wrote:Please don't ruin this otherwise cool thread with needless hating.
On a lighter note, I was really impressed with the ls gym considering that it's just for us. I was expecting something smaller and older. The fact that it's a 30 second jog from most places on campus is going to be crucial for those hard-to-motivate winter workouts

I'm with you when it comes to cooking. Using the microwave and boiling water are about as domestic as I get, so I won't miss my kitchen much. But I've had my own apartment for five years (two in UG and three after) so while I wanted to live in the dorms around other law students, I knew there was no way I could go back to sharing a bathroom with 20-30 people.laurathenerd wrote:You guys can all come and use my kitchen. Plus, I'm not a fan of having to make small talk when all I want to do is brush my teeth.

Uh, it must be the opposite for me. When I'm stressed, I go crazy baking and cooking, and then I try to pawn off all of the food on my roommates/neighbors.crazy_zoologist wrote:Really? I'm with you, jpaul. While I don't bake, it sometimes feels good to focus your attention on making something. Also, it feels good to be able to share a meal with friends and loved ones.jpaul09 wrote: Uh, it must be the opposite for me. Re: Harvard Class of 2012
Yeah, I just think sitting still makes me go crazy.
My roommates used to joke that during finals period (when I wasn't studying/writing), I was either cooking or running, and somehow the two balanced each other out so I didn't gain like 10 pounds in 10 days.
Speaking of going crazy, I have exactly one hour (yes, they are making me reply on a Saturday) to decide if I want this Hastings room. Anyone in Hastings? Any words of wisdom from anyone for me?
And before someone bites my head off, I am fully aware that I am being indecisive, and I understand that I really shouldn't be relying on a message board to make my decision for me.

My kitchen is available as well, as long as whatever you cook you make enough for treple and me.

Wanted to let you guys know that our sections are up. You can go to your Harvard mail, then go to MyHLS and after you log in with your HUID, you can go into the "unofficial transcript," and it will show.
I'm in Section 2, assuming I am reading this correctly. Anyone with me?

Is anyone else getting a "500 Internal Service Error" when they successfully login with their HUID?

Took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out what my section number was, but looks like I'm in section 1.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
