I called and confirmed that my dean's certification had arrived like a week ago because I had ordered it back in february. Ditto. I sent a request to my school back in March, and when I emailed Admissions they confirmed that it had arrived safely. It seems they don't send out email confirmations on Dean's Cert and Transcripts.whyamidoingthis wrote:I called and confirmed that my dean's certification had arrived like a week ago because I had ordered it back in february. Hey guys,
For this deadline mentioned in the e-mail today:
August 1 – Submission Deadlines for final, official academic transcripts showing degree conferral, mailed to the Office of Admissions.
If we graduated a while ago, do we need to resend our transcript to Columbia? I sent mine through LSAC, but I don't have any updates to it since I graduated in '07.

Nothing yet, and I also applied in March. I don't think it matters when you applied.

Nope. They let me in...late January. I did the housing thing early since it was non-binding. I figured why not.

Got assigned today. Efficiency unit in Lenfest...average monthly rent is approx $1736.00.yqsong wrote:anybody got their housing assigned today?
Efficiency unit was my final preference on the housing application, and I specifically requested to live on W 115th. I think I applied in February.

Well to their defense, I updated my preferences mid-March, maybe they just overlooked that.

I just told them I was indifferent to the sex of my roommate. It's a dilemma, really: less drama vs. clothes sharing.frank_the_tank wrote:ahh yeah i was talking about the other people =). oh you didn't change to prefer same-sex?lex talionis wrote:shit I misinterpretedfrank_the_tank wrote:lol huh? i havent heard anything yet but if i got assigned there i'd fight pretty hard to get it changed or just start searching on craigslist.wah wah we can still be roomies.frank_the_tank wrote:ruh roh....

I know a lot of girls seem to share clothes with roommates. Are the odds that good of landing up with someone of similar enough size to do it?lex talionis wrote:I just told them I was indifferent to the sex of my roommate. It's a dilemma, really: less drama vs. clothes sharing.

In my experience, yes. Maybe not with jeans but definitely with dresses and going-out tops (the sort of clothes we share the most). Dresses and tops (especially the drapey, looser-fitting ones) can usually fit an array of size and height combinations within a few inches/sizes.
