Anyone? There must be someone at UVA who still cares about hoops

I play basketball.
It looks like the North Grounds Rec Center has a couple of courts.

I assume "2-court gymnasium" refers to basketball courts.

hey, if any female admits are looking for a place to live next year, I've got a 2bd + den at the Jeffersonian, and my roommate just fell through. Rent's 405/mo + electric (cheapest you'll get anywhere near the law school, I assure you...also pretty much as close as you get to the school unless you're in Copeley, as well). I'm a female 1L, to be 2L. PM me if you want more info!
Also, welcome to UVa!

+1. I'm not on the front page.
Actually, I may get a new account unless I can figure out how to change names.

I'm starting to think about housing and saw a few posts about Arlington. What is Arlington? Why is it better or worse than Ivy? Can someone post a link? Thanks!

It's closer to the law school, cheaper, and ivy's staff has somewhat of a bad rep from what I've seen. I think there are only a few arlington court apts left, so you'll have to be quick about it. I won't be there because they don't allow cats. I'll be near the corner livin it up

Anyways, here's a link: --LinkRemoved--

Unless kguilf means Arlington Blvd.

That's the street that leads up to the law school from Rt. 29, and there's lots of different housing complexes on it. I briefly described most of the apartment complexes on Arlington on pg. 45 of this topic. All of them are about equidistant from the law school as Ivy is to the law school, but they're all closer to Barracks Rd. Shopping Center and hence the grocery store, etc.

You're all added... or at least those who have said they are coming. It helps if you pm me though. Sometimes I don't have the time to read through the thread.
I think there are also a lot of people who there who are still deciding on UVa. I noticed on the facebook site there are a bunch of people who have joined the Class of 2012 group but have also joined the Northwestern Class of 2012, Michigan, etc.

TIC. They are privately owned by several different owners.
I'll be living there. They are 2BR/1.5BA, 3 story units (including basement). I'd be surprised if any are still available but they are worth checking out. Already 3 TLSers (including myself) are going to be living there.

In those people's defense, Northwestern made you join the group in order to get lots of needed updates/directions on how to access things...a lot of my friends thought I was going to Northwestern back in January...needless to say I remedied that faux pas (sp?) a few weeks ago and am now a member of the only truly worthy FB group

At the rate people are coming out of the woodwork at the call of "ONLY 30 PEOPLE??", it's apparent that way more than 30 people on TLS will be at UVA next year.

OK, this account is officially dead. When I meet up with everyone at UVA, I'll feel a lot more comfortable if my username isn't something totally childish that I created without thinking. Usually when I register for online forums, I don't anticipate ever meeting anyone there in real life.
Introduce yourself, Cavalier.

But this way I can experience the joy of getting to 1,000 posts again. It's like replaying a great video game.
