There's also a Citibank really close to Harvard.

The aforementioned apartment with the hot tub is 3/4 mile from the center of Harvard's campus, so maybe a 15 minute walk to the law school...if anyone is interested.

Definitely a few Chase banks.iagolives wrote:So, another question for y'all:
Did any of you happen to catch or any locals out there know what are the big banks in the Cambridge/Harvard area? I'll be switching banks this summer and I wanted to know so I could switch it to something convenient to me next year.

In harvard square I think there are more Banks of America than anything. If you want a local scene, I've been happy with Brookline Bank.

Thanks, sluggo!
For people considering apartments a 10 minute+ walk away, you might want to look into what transportation options are available to you. A 10-15 minute walk on a nice day is not a big deal on Harvard's campus. A 15 minute walk in horrible cold is pretty rough, but you can always rely on shuttle/bus/T service for those bad weather days, depending on where you are. If you are on Massachusetts Ave in/thru Central Square you can catch the M2 shuttle, which runs very frequently. That's something to look into.

For those of you who are familiar with Cambridge, where are good and relatively cheap areas for law students to live? I haven't had a chance to visit, and I am kind of lost in this apartment search process.

I get a little depressed everytime I come in here and see that no one else is in North Hall.

Meh, nothing is really that far away from each other and witht hose underground tunnels during the wintertime, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
