Re: UVA Class of 2012
I found directions here. I tried following them and couldn't progress because I don't have the right account or something, so I guess it's not possible for now. I did a search here for "UVA class email," and the posts about the UVA email from the 2011 thread were from the middle of May, so perhaps we should have ours in a little over a month or so.

+1...working three days a week in an office scanning and shredding isn't exactly enthralling work and I have plenty of time to hone my inner peace.thesealocust wrote:lol.

I've been doing nothing practically since I graduated last May. I win!crazyinalabama wrote:+1...working three days a week in an office scanning and shredding isn't exactly enthralling work and I have plenty of time to hone my inner peace.thesealocust wrote:lol.

(I lied, I've been doing things... just nothing really intellectually stimulating or taxing.)

I had this issue and it wasn't a big deal. Nothing really gets going until you find out your section around that date. Those who move in earlier just have more time to drink to their heart's content. How about move in dates? Right now we're being offered Aug 14th, but I'd like to move in earlier if possible - current law students and the books I'd read on it (like law school confidential) really hype the value of being settled before orientation.

I'm living in the Woodlands and they said I could move in June 1 or August 1, if I remember correctly. I decided June because I'm just ready to get away from where I'm living currently, and I also just like the idea of having plenty of time to get adjusted to a new place. Plus, that gives me plenty of time to sit next to the cascading pools.gladiator wrote:I had this issue and it wasn't a big deal. BTW, if anyone else is considering the Woodlands, they are having a promotion right now where if you sign a lease you get $500 back.

My lease starts June 1 and I'll be rolling into town in late July. Still need to decide if I will be buying a car...

I'm glad I'm not the only one coming early. Hopefully we can all get together over the summer for those who are in Cville.

I'll be in Charlottesville pretty much all of the summer working for a professor so if any of you are bored or need an intro to Cville, I assume I'll have plenty of time other than softball and hanging out with my other friends that are sticking around.

Even "sort of" runners are welcome

i'm down (assuming i go, which looks likely). UVA looks like it has some nice trails in the surrounding area.

Well, 20 pounds ago I felt comfortable calling myself a runner. Not anymore.laurathenerd wrote:JSUVA2012 wrote:<----runner (sort of)laurathenerd wrote:I mentioned before that I was almost totally decided on UVA, well, I'm in for sure now (even if those waiting applications end up being waitlists instead of rejects!). 160 to 180 since graduation last May. Hopefully school (and lack of Mexican food) will slim me down.
