I think we get it 3 days before classes start.

We get refunds that early on???
I always thought it would take them at least a month to give back the money and was planning according to that

Yeah, we get refunds that early on, thankfully. This was the main reason why no one should wait until a week before classes start to fill out their loan paperwork, according to the financial aid office.

Did you enter the zip code for your permanent address or for your work address? My permanent address zip code worked for me, but my work address zip code didn't.

Having a Fordham email address = the icing on the proverbial cake of my exciting week thus far

Anyone know a quicker way to access Fordham email than through My Fordham?

And on the loan note... I received confirmation of disbursement of my Stafford loans from my lender. Finally! No word on Grad Plus yet though. The financial aid person wasn't very helpful today (I went through HESC). I feel your pain pammy, but not quite as much. They definitely did tell me that we could go outside HESC if we wanted too. I've got it in writing

Thanks. I think the woman that was there yesterday just had no idea what she was talking about. On the fordham.edu financial aid website there is a section for Graduate students, which includes law school students, and it says that you can go outside of HESC. This was confirmed by one of the financial aid people at the Bronx campus (which is the main campus) so I'm not worried anymore. I'm just really annoyed that we pay 35K a year (PT) and get such terrible service.

To top it all off, she was not apologetic at all when I called her back to tell her that she was wrong. She was just like, oh well, it is what it is. I can't stand that kind of unprofessionalism.

How? I clicked on the facebook link on my.fordham but it only openned my facebook page. How did you get it to say that? Or did you do it manually?

You have to add the network, which requires access to your fordham email to confirm it.

is setting up our fordham email something we should be doing right now? i'm not saying that is wrong to do (obviously), i just wasnt sure if we were directed somewhere to do this or if people are just taking the initiative...i just kind of figured this was something that would be covered at/prior to orientation

Oh. Ok, this may be a stupid question, but how do I add networks to my facebook? I've been trying to add the Fordham network, but can't find a way to add networks.

So while we're on the topic of the my.fordham.edu site, anyone have any idea what's up with "Financing Fordham On-Line" and "Financial aid" sections? The former link doesn't work for me, and the latter is nothing but a site with a bunch of forms.

It is useless as in don't even bother buying it, or is it simply not nearly as helpful for passing the test as the school would have you believe?

Also has anyone received Case of a Lifetime: A Criminal Defense Lawyer's Story?

I started reading the book; Its OK but I'm hoping I can understand more once they talk about it at orientation.
Someone from 2L I think wrote recently that the quiz at the end of the orientation week is doable without the book

congrats! i just moved into my new place a couple of weeks ago, but just started staying there this week...

on another note, i need to catch up on this thread... but i feel so out of the loop. other than my tuition bill, i haven't gotten a thing from Fordham! are they supposed to be sending a book or something? i still don't even know when orientation or anything is... hopefully my roommate, a fellow fordham evening 0L is more on top of this than i am.
