Hey, Shel and O25BY, I won't be making it tonight. Can't drive (stupid MS symptoms kicked in). But I'll be up on the hill all week, so let me know if y'all are up for lunch sometime.

No problem MB, we'll do lunch for sure. But, I think you were the last one showing up for sure, so I guess O25BY, if you read this just give me a call and let me know what you want to do.

Can't go. Can't type well. Injured, finger tip held on by bit of skin. Lots of blood. Not a good day.

Class of 2012 = bad at commitments and general health.

Holy ghost of some famous Cornellian!

OK, so here's what I'm suggesting: we just pretend we always meant next saturday, there will be more people here, with any luck fewer injuries, and it'll be just as good, if not better.

eta: has anyone tried "sticky rice takeout?" is it any good?

I am busy next Saturday with family obligations, but that's probably a good idea for the general TLS-Cornell 1L population.

Worst comes to worst, I'm sure I'll meet you all at our finals in December.

I want to, but this is actually a very weird week for me. The thing I have on Saturday is a family reunion-y thing, which means this week will be filled with family-in-from-out-of-town stuff, so I'm going to be out of town for a few days/nights this week visiting people who are visiting other people, but I'm not sure which days yet (I'm sure you'll be surprised to know that people in my family aren't great at making plans--shocking, I know).

sooo, i figured that, since some of the rising 1Ls are in ithaca, and most of the rising 2Ls are checking this thread out, I would ask this here.
Im coming to Ithaca on Monday just for a couple of days, to set myself up. I don't want to lug my laptop around, and would rather just leave it here at home. but, if i need a map to get around, or internet to do some research on places, things, (*cough* TLS *cough*), etc..., where could I access it? are there any internet cafes or something of the sort? would the law school be open and I would just use my NetID to use a computer there? or should I just suck it up and bring my laptop and access internet at random places in collegetown?
any ideas would be much appreciated! tia!

Well, Panda, if you meet Shel and me (fixed) for lunch, I'll have my laptop with me, and you can definitely access the net at CTB ;).

And this is edited to add - Ouch, O25BY! I hope you're doing better! That sounds awful (and one of the few things that queazes me out - I could work on skeletons all day and night, but anything with blood - ugh. My spouse has to handle all the blood wounds in our family.) Let me know if you need any help with anything. You're only a few blocks away.

Building is definitely open and you don't even need your netid - simply sign in as "guest".

I was wondering if any of the rising 2Ls have any insider information of the following professors, I've tried the ratemyprofessor route but can't seem to find anything:

Summers (Contracts), Weigold (Lawyering), Dorf (Con Law), Wendel (Torts)

Thanks guys!!! :D

Dorf just got here last year and none of the rising 2Ls has had him... but someone might drop by to share tales of the others... perhaps Joonbug...

I hear Summers is a very technologically-savvy guy who embraces the use of electronics in his teaching.

oh yeah, I keep forgetting: if anyone wants to buy casebooks with a bunch of writing and highlighting on the cheap, PM me, or just bid against each other here... also, if you want to buy a bunch of supplements that have for the most part been untouched, ditto the above...

the writing in the casebook is often funny and entertaining, and arguably adds value, but I will not enter this arguable added value into any price quotes

So this is exciting weather we're having. My windows don't seal, and I have a leak in the ceiling of the room that was supposed to be my study :(

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
